We have expert betting tips for the WTA BNL d’Italia this week, where Iga Swiatek seeks consecutive victories on the WTA circuit.
49 of the world’s top 50 players are in Italy, and we have our best tennis picks for the clay court tournament.
WTA BNL d’Italia Tips & Predictions
—
WTA BNL d’Italia Best Bet – Iga Swiatek
There is no better women’s tennis player on the planet than Iga Swiatek, who won the Madrid Open.
She is not only a four-time grand slam winner, including three French Open titles, but she loves to win the smaller tournaments.
It took a gutsy effort to get past Aryna Sabalenka in the final last week, but she prevailed 7-6 in an epic tiebreak in the third and final set.
The 22-year-old Polish champion is the best player in the world, that’s undisputed. She is more consistent than most, and clay is her favourite surface.
Punters get $2.50 for Swiatek, which is short, but we wouldn’t leave her out of our selections.
Bet: Iga Swiatek @ $2.50
WTA BNL d’Italia Best Value – Elena Rybakina
Elena Rybakina is the defending NBL d’Italia champion, so she must be included in tennis bets.
The 24-year-old Russian was a beaten semifinalist against Aryna Sabalenka last week, but it was as tight as it gets.
She won the first set 6-1 before losing the final two sets 7-5, 7-6. She should have won the match, but we’re happy to back her again at the value odds.
Punters get $6.50 for Rybakina to win in Italy in consecutive years, and those odds are tough to overlook. She is the clear second pick behind Swiatek, and they could play for the title in two weeks’ time.
Bet: Elena Rybakina @ $6.50
WTA BNL d’Italia Next Best – Coco Gauff
The American doesn’t always show much consistency, but there has been some specking for her with tennis betting markets.
Coco Gauff is a $15.00 chance to win in Italy, and she only needs to lift her game a touch to reap the rewards.
Now 20 years old, Gauff has enough experience under her belt to win consistently on the WTA Tour, and clay should suit her.
She doesn’t mind getting into slow progressing rallies, which you often see on the clay courts. She has a good backhand, and although her forehand isn’t up to par, she can grind away with the best of them.
The one-time grand slam champion is still improving, so she’s worth including at the odds.
Bet: Coco Gauff @ $15.00
WTA BNL d’Italia Best Roughie – Elina Svitolina
It’s not easy to bet on Elina Svitolina, but the former top-level player could cause a big upset.
She’s a fighter, and the 29-year-old will need to rediscover her best tennis to keep up with the younger players.
However, the former world number three represents value at $81.00, and we never thought we would see those odds for her.
She’s the 16th seed for the BNL d’Italia, so her odds don’t reflect her ranking. She’s not playing her best, but her best is never too far away.
Take the value odds, and at the very worst, she should make it to the quarters.
Bet: Elina Svitolina @ $81.00
