Alcaraz knows what it takes to win grand slams, and although Sinner has had his measure in 2025, the Spaniard is mapping well for a big showing in the 2025 US Open, including winning last week.

After opening at $2.30, the world number two has drifted to $2.50. That’s a good price for a player who is likely to make the final, where he should be shorter than $2.50. Punters should take the value for a player keen to showcase why he’s an elite player.

There isn’t much depth in the men’s ranks outside of Sinner, Alcaraz, and Djokovic, and Djokovic isn’t playing his best tennis. Therefore, there is good value for a player like Alex Zverev to score an upset.

The German has been right around the mark for the last two years without winning a major title, and he won the most ATP matches last year. That’s quite a feat, so he’s putting in the hard work to get the job done.

He is talented enough to beat Sinner and Alcaraz, and getting $23 is tough to look past. We priced him at around $13, and upsets can happen at Flushing Meadows.

It would be great to see American tennis get back to the elite level it once was. Leading the charge is Ben Shelton, who isn’t the most naturally talented player, especially compared to the Europeans, but he has upside.

He has a big serve and volley game, and like American power hitters of the past like Andy Roddick, he could serve his way to a title.

He needs to work on other areas of his game, namely his defence, but he could spring an upset on the top seeds during the 2025 US Open. Considering he was $71 to win Wimbledon, more eyes are on Shelton now, which is a good sign.

Backing Australia’s Alex de Minaur comes with a high level of frustration, but we haven’t seen a player with more wasted talent since his countryman Nick Kyrgios.

Unfortunately for de Minaur, he plays as though he wants it too much. He often makes mental errors, but he has a good enough defensive game to make waves at Flushing Meadows, and we want to support him.

He’s paying $101 for a reason, but he’s a genuine top 10 player, and he shouldn’t be forgotten about.
