We have expert betting predictions for the 2020 Men’s French Open Tennis Semifinals, which are played on Saturday morning, October 10.

Punters get treated to two incredible semifinal games on Saturday, which includes Schwartzman vs. Nadal and Djokovic vs. Tsitsipas.

We look at the form of all four players and provide our best French Open tips.

2020 Men’s French Open Semi-finals Predictions

Diego Schwartzman vs. Rafael Nadal Expert Betting Predictions

Rafael Nadal has made light work of his opposition throughout this tournament and the King of Clay looks good for another title.

He got through his quarterfinal match against Jannik Sinner in straight sets, despite being pushed close in the first two sets.

The 12-time French Open champion is somehow not the top seed for this tournament, but he is showing why he’s still the best clay courter in the business.

He has yet to drop a set and he has won four of his last five games against Schwartzman. However, the most recent meeting went to the Argentine.

Schwartzman scored a straight sets win over Nadal at Rome, but Nadal needed the hit out. However, Schwartzman has also looked excellent throughout this tournament.

He hadn’t dropped a set in his first four games before taking on US Open champion Dominic Thiem. The 3-2 win was a credit to Schwartzman’s toughness, which was certainly tested.

He wasn’t favoured to beat Thiem, who was in stellar form, but he got through in a tough five-set battle.

Schwartzman has lost only one clay court match in the last month, which came to Novak Djokovic in Rome. His form is worth noting and he has the ability to cause an upset victory over Nadal.

Bookmakers aren’t giving Schwartzman much chance of winning. He is currently the $6 outsider to beat Nadal, who is paying $1.12.

We think Nadal will win but there is little value in the $1.12 price. Therefore, we look to the sets betting and handicap markets. Nadal is the 7.5-game favourite, and he’s the $1.80 favourite to cover the spread.

If Nadal can get a 6-3 win in the first set, he should be able to run away with the win. Diego Schwartzman could get frustrated that his winners keep getting returned, which could spell disaster for the Argentine.

Nadal is $1.95 to win in straight sets, which is a viable option for punters. We would stick with the handicap option for now.

Tip: Rafael Nadal –7.5 games ($1.80)

Novak Djokovic vs. Stefanos Tsitsipas Expert Betting Predictions

What an incredible semifinal we are treated to here, as the world’s best player takes on one of the world’s most promising players.

Novak Djokovic has lost only one match in 2020, which was a disqualification at the US Open. He has won 36 of his 37 games this year and he’s marching towards another Grand Slam title.

However, there are some things going against the champion player. He is playing injured and that looked to affect him against Pablo Carreno-Busta, who had every chance to beat Novak.

Djokovic, despite having injury problems, still found a way to win that game and his ability to return winners was on full display. It will be needed again on Saturday, as he faces a confident Stefanos Tsitsipas.

The Greek put away a talented Andrey Rublev in straight sets earlier this week and that game was one of the best he’s ever played. He outgunned Rublev, who was in stellar form heading into the match.

Tsitsipas is a player that can reach the top of the game, but he needs to win games like this. His recent form against Djokovic includes two wins and two losses.

He has the game to beat Novak but he’ll need to play mistake-free tennis. Bookmakers have Tsitsipas as the $3.50 underdog, and there is value in that price.

We think Novak will win, but it shouldn’t come in straight sets. Therefore, our best value bet is Tsitsipas +5.5 games.

He is good enough to keep this one close and most sets should be decided by two games or less. That should ensure a close game and Tsitsipas’ punters will rejoice.

Tip: Stefanos Tsitsipas +5.5 games ($1.80)
