Novak Djokovic vs. Rafael Nadal Expert Betting Predictions
The two best players in the world do battle on Monday morning and it should be another incredible French Open final.
Novak Djokovic is the best player in the world at the moment, and his only loss in 2020 came via disqualification. However, it hasn’t been easy for the Serbian at Roland Garros this year.
He was 2-0 up against Stefanos Tsitsipas in the semifinal before getting pushed to a fifth set decider. His injuries caught up to him and playing a grueling five-set match won’t do him any good in the final.
Despite his incredible form, he is playing someone who knows how to win on the clay and deserves to be favourite for this game.
Rafael Nadal was the second favourite to win in pre-tournament markets, which is incredible given that he owns 12 French Open titles. However, bookmakers have seen the light and installed Nadal as the $1.66 favourite.
The Spaniard scored a 3-0 win over Diego Schwartzman, so he is well-rested and ready to make another run at the title. Nadal has yet to drop a set in this tournament, compared to the three sets dropped by Djokovic.
The Men’s French Open will be won by sheer will. It’s hard to hit winners on the clay, and especially against two players who consistently hit back potential winners.
Defensive is key for both Nadal and Djokovic, so the game could be decided by who is mentally tougher. We give that edge to Nadal, who has the better recent record on clay against his opponent.
Nadal has won his last three games against Djokovic on the clay court. His most recent loss on this surface came in 2016. However, Djokovic scored a 3-0 win in the 2015 French Open final.
It is tough to split these two players and we can see this final going to a fifth set. However, we are in the camp of Rafael Nadal. He is the King of Clay for a reason, and his form hasn’t taken a dive in 2020.
There is no doubting the class of Djokovic and he has been the best player this year, but he’s not at 100 percent and he’ll need to be against the greatest clay courter of all time.
Punters are getting value in the head-to-head market, so play Nadal straight up.
Tip: Rafael Nadal to win ($1.66)

Novak Djokovic vs. Rafael Nadal exotic betting predictions
Punters can find value betting the exotic markets and there is excellent value for the Men’s French Open Final.
We like Rafael Nadal to win, but we don’t think he will win in straight sets. Therefore, we recommend taking Nadal to win 3-1 ($4.50) and 3-2 ($5). Backing both options represents value and it gives you some insurance.
We also like the game handicap market, which has Nadal was the –2.5 favourite. Most of the money has come for Novak with the games head start, but if Nadal wins, he should be covering.
Punters are getting $1.96 for the –2.5 and that is great shopping.
One interesting exotic option we like is Novak to not double fault. It is unlikely that he won’t double fault, but punters are getting $26 for the risk.
It is worth taking at those odds and he is one of the best servers in the game, so it’s not within the realm of impossiblity.
