Super Rugby Pacific Week 6 Tips

Friday 20/3/26
Punters should expect a close game between the Highlanders and Hurricanes, especially if recent form is anything to go by.
The Highlanders come off a loss to the Crusaders, but it was a solid effort in defeat. They now face the Hurricanes coming off a 31-23 win over the Force, which wasn’t as easy as expected, so the ‘Canes are there for the taking.
Getting +7.5 is a good start for the home team in what should be a close contest.

The Brumbies started the season well, but after consecutive losses to the Reds and Fijian Drua, there is cause for concern.
They were well-beaten by the Drua in Fiji last week, and although that’s a tough place to play, we didn’t see enough from them to recommend them against the Chiefs, who are still one of the Super Rugby title favourites.
The Chiefs are off a bye, so they’re well-rested and ready to cover the –3.5 spread.

The Drua are tough to beat when playing in Fiji, as the Hurricanes and Brumbies have found out.
Those were top-quality performances, and although there are no stars in the team, they play well in front of their home fans.
We’re not surprised to see money come for them at $1.58, so the –2.5 line is better than usual. Most teams paying $1.58 would be at least –3.5 with Super Rugby odds, so take the value line available with bookmakers.

Punters are met with a –25.5 line for the Crusaders, but it’s not surprising against a team like Moana Pasifika, who have been well-beaten in most games.
The Crusaders haven’t been at their brilliant best, but they put off-field drama behind them with a win last week over the Highlanders, and that is a good performance going forward.
Covering a –25.5 spread isn’t hard for the Crusaders, who should open the flood gates against the struggling Moana Pasifika.

Sunday 22/3/26
The Waratahs were thumped 59-19 against the Hurricanes in their most recent game before enjoying a week off. We don’t think the break would have fixed the problems they’re facing, so the Blues –5.5 is the play.
The Blues were too good for Moana Pasifika last week, winning 43-7, and another comfortable win is likely at Allianz Stadium.
The –5.5 line is much better than expected, so include the Blues in Super Rugby picks this week.
