The 2024 Copa America has been a remarkable tournament so far, with big guns firing and failing in equal measure and with hosts USA one of the biggest sides to be eliminated, the draw looks to be wide open. Argentina and Brazil remain the sides to beat, whilst the likes of Colombia and Uruguay will be very confident that they can kick on over the next couple of games and chase Copa America glory.
Here are our picks for the quarter final fixtures at Copa America 2024:
Copa America Quarter Finals Predictions
—
Argentina vs Ecuador
Argentina ($1.42)
Ecuador ($9.00)
Draw ($4.80)
Tournament favourites Argentina have progressed seamlessly into the last 8 and it now looks to be up to Ecuador to stop them – a task that nobody fancies. Rotation in the squad from Argentina looks to have been pinpoint by this stage of the competition and they have a fully fit squad, all ready to kick on and defend their Copa America title. Ecuador are a side that have the tools to trouble anybody on their day, but they know that they will start as the heavy second favourites for this one. Argentina are a juggernaut currently and they should be able to see of Ecuador and reach the last 4.
Betting tip: Argentina to win the match ($1.42)
Argentina to win 3-1
Venezuela vs Canada
Venezuela ($2.65)
Canada ($3.05)
Draw ($3.20)
Surprise package Venezuela came through a competitive Group B with flying colours, winning all three of their games and they will be very keen to keep their Copa America dream alive here against Canada. Nobody foresaw Venezuela winning three games out of three in the group but that is the situation they are in, and they are the favourites to beat Canada here. The Canadians are a plucky outfit, who have done brilliantly to reach the last 8 but momentum looks to be with Venezuela, and they should come out on top here.
Betting tip: Venezuela to win the match ($2.65)
Venezuela to win 2-1
Colombia vs Panama
Colombia ($1.33)
Panama ($11.50)
Draw ($5.50)
It has been a tournament to remember so far for Colombia, who finished ahead of the great Brazil in Group D, and they are now being touted to go all the way, with Panama in their sights next. Colombia have a side packed with talent and they will be looking to continue their momentum in this one, which they are favourites for. Panama have also shocked a few at Copa America this year and they will be the firm underdogs here, against at Colombia side that look to have the bit between their teeth. Panama will give this a good go, but Colombia should come out on top here.
Betting tip: Colombia to win the match ($1.33)
Colombia to win 3-1
Uruguay vs Brazil
Uruguay ($2.90)
Brazil ($2.72)
Draw ($3.30)
Undoubtedly the biggest clash in the quarter finals is Uruguay vs Brazil and the prospect of these two heavyweights doing battle is hugely exciting for all onlookers. Uruguay have been in imperious form so far in the tournament and their sustained goal threat will be a huge issue for Brazil in this one. Perhaps ominously, Brazil haven’t hit their stride in the tournament, but they are still in the last 8. Writing Brazil off is never a clever thing to do and whilst Uruguay will be up for this, Brazil could come out on top and reach the semi-finals.
Betting tip: Brazil to win the match ($2.72)
Brazil to win 2-1
