Most of the talk is about the Warriors, and although it’s an odd decision to rest all the Origin players for the Panthers, we think they’re good enough to cover the spread.

They’ve done well to pick themselves up and sit in 9^th on the NRL ladder after a poor start, and the second unit is good enough to stick with the Warriors, who don’t often put teams away by big margins.

Winning by 14 points or more could be too much for the Warriors, who have a poor 17-30 record against the Panthers. The 2025 Warriors are a better team, but three of their last four wins came by six points or less, so take the Panthers +13.5, which is a generous line, even without the likes of Nathan Cleary and Dylan Edwards.

We have the game going under 45.5 points, in what could be a 24-12 score line on Saturday afternoon. They combined for 42 points in their 2024 meeting, which followed a 38-point effort in 2023.

However, there should be two try scorers in Paul Alamoti and Dallin Watene-Zelezniak, who are paying nice goods to include in NRL same game multis. Alamoti needs to step up in the back line for the Panthers, and he’s paying $2.35 to score a try.

That’s an excellent price for the winger, who should take ownership of the back line and lead by example. The game goes for Watene-Zelezniak, who has been good in scoring two tries in his return from injury.
