We have Warriors vs. Panthers predictions for the Finals Week 1 game on Saturday September 13 at 4:05pm at Go Media Stadium.
The Warriors limped into the NRL Finals, and now they face the defending champions. However, a spirited effort from the injured Warriors could be on the cards.

Best Bet
Backing the Warriors to cover the +9.5 spread against Penrith requires some faith in the New Zealand-based team. They have been stuttering approaching the finals, but in front of a sold out Go Media Stadium crowd, they could produce the goods.
We’re not backing them to beat the well-rested Panthers, who have been better prepared for this game. The Warriors have a lot of injuries to important players, but it has been a good year, and we can’t see them getting bundled out of the finals with a one-sided loss.
They are good enough defensively to keep it close, and although they’re likely to lose, it could be only by 6-8 points. Take the +9.5 line and hope the Warriors turn up mentally.

Same Game Multi
We’re picking a try scorer from each team, and it could be a big night for the wingers. Dallin Watene-Zelezniak is our pick for the Warriors, and although his defence has been poor, he has been scoring tries recently.
The Warriors’ winger scored a double last week against the Sea Eagles, and he could cap off a good backline move for the home side. Punters get $2.35 for him to score a try, which is the best odds we have seen for him all year.
We also like Paul Alamoti, who has six tries from his last six games, including a double last week. That’s good enough form, and we’re happy to include the $1.79 odds in our NRL SGM picks.
Under 42.5 is worth including because the Warriors and Panthers defence is good enough to make scoring tries hard. The final score could be around 22-14.

Best Value Bet
If the Warriors want a chance of pulling off the upset, they need to put points on the board early.
Those points could come from Watene-Zelezniak, who is the crowd favourite. His long flowing mullet could fly across the try line, and punters get $11 odds for the Warriors winger to get the action started.
We’re happy to include him in our NRL picks at $11, which is a fair price.
