gobet storm vs sharks nrl tips

We have Storm vs. Sharks predictions for the Round 17 game on Sunday June 29 at 2:00pm at AAMI Park.

NRL Sunday kicks off with a belter between Melbourne and Cronulla, where the Storm should win at home.

Storm vs. Sharks Predictions

Best Bet

Storm –9.5 @ $1.90

The Storm got away with one last week against the Rabbitohs, and although they haven’t always been at their best in 2025, they’re still our pick to win the title.

The same can’t be said for the Sharks, who were terrible against the Broncos last week when giving up a big lead. It was another poor effort from the finals contender, and based on that, we can’t include them in our picks.

Melbourne is a more consistent and classier team, and although the Sharks got the better of them 31-26 in May, revenge is likely for the home side. They have all their Origin players back in the team, and that should be enough to cover the –9.5 spread.

Look for Harry Grant and Cameron Munster to control the game from the outset, with Jahrome Hughes setting up the tries.

Same Game Multi

Storm –9.5, Xavier Coates Anytime Try Scorer, Ryan Papenhuyzen Anytime Try Scorer, Over 47.5 @ $6.25

We have backed Xavier Coates and Ryan Papenhuyzen many times this year, and they’re still the best try-scoring hopes most weeks.

Coates scored a hattrick two games ago, and although he didn’t score last week, he was tired after playing Origin. He’s a $1.80 chance to score against the Sharks, in what should be a high-scoring contest on Sunday.

Papenhuyzen is the favourite at $1.78 after going scoreless in his last four games. He usually fires back with a multiple try game, and there is good value for the Storm fullback to cross the line, and our best value bet has him scoring twice.

Over 47.5 is well worth including. They are high-powered teams, so it should be an open contest with plenty of tries.

Best Value Bet

Ryan Papenhuyzen 2+ Tries @ $3.90

Papenhuyzen is set for a big performance against the Sharks, and as he showed earlier this season, he’s capable of putting early tries on the board.

The fullback had four tries against the Wests Tigers, scoring the first three of the game, and he also kicked 10/11 conversions.

Scoring 36 points in one game is an amazing feat, so expect the best from Papenhuyzen this week.
