gobet storm vs bulldogs nrl tips

We have Storm vs. Bulldogs predictions for the Finals Week 1 game on Friday September 12 at 7:50pm at AAMI Park.

The NRL Finals kicks off with a blockbuster between the Storm and Bulldogs, where Melbourne is expected to win at home.

Storm vs. Bulldogs Predictions

Best Bet

Storm –4.5 @ $1.90

The Storm might have lost Jahrome Hughes and Ryan Papenhuyzen, but we’re backing them to beat the Bulldogs and cover the –4.5 spread.

Depth has always been a strength of the Storm, and with Harry Grant returning, he’s good enough to carry this team to victory. Grant and Cameron Munster should control the game for the home side, and although the Bulldogs have been good at times, they haven’t been overly impressive recently.

The Storm won 20-14 in their most recent meeting, and it pays to overlook their last two losses. Those aren’t accurate form guides, so expect the very best from the Storm, who have more finals experience than any other NRL team.

Same Game Multi

Storm -4.5, Xavier Coates Anytime Try Scorer, Will Warbrick Anytime Try Scorer, Over 38.5 @ $7.25

The biggest threat to scoring off a high kick is Xavier Coates, and although he didn’t score last week, he should make an impression on this game. He has six tries from his last six games, and we expect him to score a try at $1.77 odds.

We also expect Will Warbrick to cross the line. He was recalled into the team last week, and he looked good running the ball. He’s a powerful outside back, and scoring last week should have given him loads of confidence. Take the $2.18 odds for Warbrick to score for Melbourne.

We’re also including over 38.5 points, which is a low line. The final score could be around 24-16, and there are plenty of points in these teams.

Best Value Bet

Xavier Coates First Try Scorer @ $7.00

We expect Melbourne to target Coates on the wing. He could be tough to stop early in the game, and the Bulldogs don’t have a winger that can outleap him.

Getting $7 for Coates to score the first try is a good price from bookmakers, and we expect him to get Melbourne off to fast start.
