The 26-18 victory should kick-start their season, and although the Panthers were brilliant in their two wins in 2026, this game should be closer than bookmakers expect. The Panthers scored a 26-0 win over the Broncos before beating the Sharks 26-6, so the defence has been excellent.

However, the Roosters’ attack is up there with the best, and they should put a few tries on the board. That will be enough to cover the +6.5 spread, and the Roosters defeated the Panters in mid-March last season 38-32, which is the best form guide for this game.
