After opening at –5.5, we’re not surprised to see line movement for the Roosters. They play the struggling Cowboys, who were looking good until losing their last two games heavily to the Storm and Dolphins.

They were outscored 96-18 in those games, which is dreadful for a team that had been looking solid in 2025. They had exceeded expectations up until that point, but the cracks are starting to show, and the Roosters can pile on the hurt.

Sydney comes off a tough 12-8 win over the Knights, which wasn’t their finest performance, but it was a good enough win. They also have a recent 42-16 win over the Sharks, and that’s a tidy form guide against a team struggling to contain opposing offences.

The –6.5 line is worth including in picks in a game the Roosters should control from the outset.
