The NRL continues this week for Round 27 action, kicking off with the Broncos vs. Storm blockbuster game on Thursday night.

The Broncos are heading into the playoffs with a stack of momentum following a solid win over the Cowboys, and given that is a finals preview game, they should come out with their best on Thursday night.

Betting Tip: Warriors @ $2.52

We are sticking with the Warriors despite suffering a hard-luck loss to the Eels last week. We believe they should have won with a late try, which was taken off them, but the best way to bounce back is by beating the Sea Eagles.

Manly needs to win by a cricket score margin to make the finals, and that pressure could be too much for them against a stout Warriors’ defence. That’s why we’re picking the Warriors to get it done, in what could be a low-scoring affair.

8:00pm Roosters vs. Rabbitohs @ Allianz Stadium

Betting Tip: Roosters –9.5 @ $1.90

Despite being 10-0 behind against the second-string Storm last week, the Roosters piled on the second half points to score 40-10.

It was a big effort from the Roosters, who are trying to hold off the Dolphins for the eighth spot in the NRL finals, and playing the Rabbitohs should help their chances. They are the –9.5 favourites for a reason, and they should cover the spread.

3:00pm Dragons vs. Panthers @ WIN Stadium

Betting Tip: Panthers –8.5 @ $1.90

The Panthers rested their best players last week and put up a good fight against the Bulldogs, but those players should return here.

It shows how confident the Panthers are to give up on a potential top four spot and getting an extra life in the NRL finals. They are confident with beating any team, including a struggling Dragons outfit, which sits in 15^th spot.

Betting Tip: Wests Tigers –2.5 @ $2.00

The Titans have shown that they’re not an overly proud club, and we can’t see them wanting to win for departing coach Des Hassler.

It has been another shocking season for the Titans, and although the Tigers aren’t much better, they typically play well in these games when there is nothing on the line but pride.

The Bulldogs are a better team than the Sharks, and that could be evident on Saturday night. They play a better brand of football, and there isn’t a lot of trust with the Sharks nearing the NRL Finals.

They took halfway through the first half to score points against the Knights last week, and although it ended in a convincing win, it wasn’t a good form guide when facing a good defensive team like the Bulldogs.

The Raiders are right to rest their players before the finals, and this gives the Dolphins a slim chance of making the finals.

They need the Roosters to suffer a defeat at the hands of the Rabbitohs, so only pride could be on the line on Sunday. However, the Dolphins can put up big scores, especially against a weakened Raiders outfit.

If the Dolphins have any spine, they should win and cover the spread comfortably.

It’s a year of what could have been for the Eels, who have become giant killers over the last few weeks with wins over the Roosters and Warriors.

They now eye the hapless Knights, and after getting pumped by the Sharks last week, the Knights are looking for the exit sign in the final week of the season.

The Eels will bring momentum into 2026, and that’s all fans can ask for.
