The NRL Grand Final plays this Sunday with the Penrith Panthers and Melbourne Storm battling for NRL supremacy.
They were the best teams throughout the year, and bookmakers can’t split the Panthers and Storm, who are locked up at $1.92.
It makes for an intriguing NRL Grand Final, and the dynasty could continue for the Panthers.
NRL Grand Final Tips

Sunday 6/10/24
7:30pm Melbourne Storm vs Penrith Panthers @ Accor Stadium
The Melbourne Storm topped the ladder throughout 2024, and now they look to cap it off with a Grand Final win.
Leading Dally M player Jahrome Hughes has been the best player all year, and the Storm playmaker could have a big impact on the final. However, there is no doubting that Nathan Cleary is the best player we have seen for a few years.
Picked as becoming an immortal when it’s all said and done, Cleary single-handedly wins games for the Panthers. It happened last week when the Sharks scored to make it 10-6 with 15 minutes remaining, when Cleary took control and dominated.
It also happened when the Panthers were getting easily beaten in the 2023 Grand Final, but Cleary put the team on his back to storm home over the top of the Broncos.
He’s the most important player in the game, and it’s tough to bet against Cleary and the Panthers. They are seeking four consecutive NRL titles, and that’s something that doesn’t happen in one of the more even sport leagues in the world.
They’re in rarified air, and although the Storm are a quality team who are 2-0 against the Panthers in 2024, we don’t think they’ll win when it counts. The Storm won 8-0 before winning 24-22 in August, but the Panthers time their run well, and we think their experience of winning will be too much for Melbourne.
Money is likely to come for Penrith, so we suggest taking the $1.92 available. It could firm to around $1.80 on game night.
Betting tip: Panthers @ $1.92

Panthers vs Storm Exotic Picks
We love betting on Clive Churchill Medal markets, and there is a clear front runner if the Panthers win the game.
Cleary is the $4.50 favourite to win the Clive Churchill Medal, and it’s tough to find reasons not to back him. If the Panthers win, he will be the reason why, so punters should take the value odds offered from bookmakers.
He is the standout player of the game, and he’ll not only control the game for the Panthers, but he’ll set up countless tries and opportunities to score.
If Melbourne win, punters should expect Hughes to get the nod. He has been excellent and consistent in 2024, and the Dally M favourite is on the second line at $5.00.
We also love first try scorer odds, and our top pick is a classy Panthers winger in Sunia Turuva. He has been playing well recently, and after not scoring a try in the preliminary final against the Sharks, he’ll be keen to get off to a fast start.
He just didn’t get the chances in that game, but he’s a noted try scorer, and punters get $10.00 for Turuva to score first.
We also like Paul Almonti, who scored the opening try against the Sharks. It has been a great year for Almonti, who slotted into the team nicely following the departure of Stephen Crichton, and he’s doing a great job.
Punters get $17.00 for Almonti to score first and $3.50 to score at any time, which is a great value price.
There is also good value for Will Warbrick to score a try for Melbourne. The former New Zealand 7s player is a $2.02 chance to score, and he could power his way over the line. Warbrick is having a breakout year for the Storm, and he could have some success in the biggest game of the year.
Betting tip: Nathan Cleary Clive Churchill Winner @ $4.50
