We don’t trust the Chargers to win and cover the spread, so we’re backing the Vikings to pull off an upset on Friday.

The Vikings didn’t play too badly when losing to the Eagles last week, making a solid second half comeback, and they could use that momentum to handle the Chargers, who lost 38-24 to the Colts last week.

The Chargers only recent win came against the hapless Dolphins, and they won 29-27. Their 4-3 record is inflated, so we’re happy to take the Vikings to win outright at $2.35, but the safer bet is taking the +3.5 line, as Friday games often come down to the final drive.

It’s hard to believe that Justin Jefferson has only one touchdown. He is the best receiver for the Vikings, but the Vikings quarterbacks haven’t been finding him. However, that could change against the Chargers, and he could have a breakout performance.

Getting $2.55 for Jefferson to score a touchdown is excellent value, and his scoring drought could come to an end.

We also like Justin Herbert to throw an interception at $2. He was picked three times last week, and he’s not playing with a great deal of confidence. He could force a few throws, and the Vikings D is good enough to come up with the goods.

Over 44.5 is worth including in NFL multi picks. It’s a low line, but the final score could be around 26-23.

Frustration is starting to boil over for Jefferson, but we have no doubt he will be instructing Carson Wentz to throw his way early in the game.

He’s one of the more talented wide receivers in the NFL, so it’s a crime to have only one TD. He should be targeted throughout the game, and he’s our top pick to score the first touchdown.
