The NFL kicks off with Week 1 action, and we have NFL expert betting picks and predictions for every game of the year.
Action starts with the Cowboys vs. Eagles on Friday, and the featured games this week include Chiefs vs. Chargers, Ravens vs. Bills, and Vikings vs. Bears.
NFL Week 1 Tips
—
Friday 5/9/25
The Eagles are set to make a good run at defending their Super Bowl title against a Cowboys team ready to come away at the seams.
Dallas made some suspect off-season moves, including shifting its best defensive player, and the Eagles should take advantage by winning and covering the spread on Friday. They are good enough to win by at least eight points.
Money should come for the Eagles, so take the line.

Saturday 6/9/25
The Chiefs are always a good bet in the opening week, and playing in Brazil should only help their cause of posting a win.
We don’t have much faith in the Chargers ability to win big games, and although it’s only the opening week, this is a big game for the Chiefs and Chargers. Most of the money has come for the Chargers, but it could be misplaced money.
Take the Chiefs to cover the –3.5 spread with Patrick Mahomes at the helm.

Monday 8/9/25
The Buccaneers and Falcons are tough teams to predict, but we don’t predict good things for the Falcons in 2025.
They often struggle to put points on the board, especially with a young quarterback, and the experience of the Buccs should be enough to get the job done on the road.
The –1.5 line could move throughout the week, so include it in NFL picks.

—
The Bengals are our picks to win the Super Bowl, and they could kick off the season with a top win over the Browns.
Cleveland isn’t a team you want to back with regularity, and although playing at home helps them, Joe Burrow and the Bengals have much more upside.
Covering the –4.5 line shouldn’t be too hard for the visitors.
Bengals by 14
—
There isn’t much between the Dolphins and Colts, but with the depth of the Dolphins at quarterback, we’re picking them to prevail on the road.
Tua Tagovailoa is a good QB on his day, and although injuries haven’t helped him recently, he could get back to his best on Monday morning.
Getting $1.96 with head-to-head NFL lines is good value in what should be a close game.

—
Money has come for the Patriots –2.5. They haven’t been an easy team to back over the last few years, but 2025 could provide them with some respite.
They play the Raiders, who are just as bad, and we’re not surprised to see money come for the home side, who are typically tough to beat at Gillette Stadium.
It’s not our most confident NFL Week 1 pick, but it’s worth including in multis.

Most of the early betting support has come for the Saints, but we expect the Cardinals to come out with more effort in the first game of the season.
They are strong at the quarterback position, and they only need their defence to show up to put the Saints away. We don’t expect much from New Orleans, in what could be another rebuild year.
Given their explosive offence, the Cardinals should be too good.
Cardinals by 10

The Jets are often well-backed to start the year, but that enthusiasm often wanes throughout the year. That’s because they fail to win games, which could be the case in Week 1.
Pittsburgh is a solid pick in the opening week, and although there are concerns at some positions, it’s well-coached and the Steelers often start well.
The –2.5 line is better than expected, so include them in NFL predictions.
Steelers by 7
—
We’re backing another favourite with our NFL Week 1 picks. The Commanders showed good fight last season, and they could come out firing again.
There is enough offensive talent with this team to beat the likes of the Giants, who aren’t a good team. They continually disappoint, and they don’t have the foundation to produce a winning season in 2025/26.
The –5.5 line has been well-supported, so take the odds available.
Commanders by 10
—
There won’t be much between the Panthers and Jaguars, so we’re opting to back the Panthers at a better price.
Getting the Panthers at $2.53 is a good value bet, and although expectations for both teams are low, the young Panthers could show something early in the year.
Look for them to get off to a fast start and hold off the struggling Jags.

Covering a –7.5 line isn’t easy for a team like the Broncos, but we couldn’t bring ourselves to back the struggling Titans.
They are having depth issues at the franchise, and there is some hope of the Broncos producing a solid season. That’s enough to include them in our picks, and they only need a good start to establish a healthy lead.
They like to control the clock, so expect long drives that will hopefully be capped off with a touchdown.
Broncos by 10

The 49ers vs. Seahawks rivalry continues Monday, and we expect the 49ers to pick up a solid road win.
They have a team good enough to contend for the Super Bowl if they put it all together, as has been the case for the last few years.
Expectations aren’t as high now, but they’re good enough to beat the Seahawks in the opening week.

It’s always a good game between the Lions and Packers, and we predict the Packers getting off to a faster start.
The Lions have some injury problems, and winning at Lambeau Field is never easy for the Lions. Therefore, we’re taking the Packers –2.5 before the line moves to –3.
Jordan Love has plenty of upside, and he could show out for the Packers.
Packers by 10
—
The Texans are armed with plenty of offensive power, and they could ambush the Rams in the season opener.
Los Angeles can be a tough team to follow at the best of times, and there are injury concerns around Matthew Stafford. That doesn’t give us confidence, and Texans QB C.J. Stroud has an excellent arm.
We’re backing them to win outright at $2.23, which is a fair price from bookmakers.
Texans by 6

One of the best games of Week 1 is the Ravens vs. Bills, and we have the Ravens winning the big game.
With Lamar Jackson at the helm, the Ravens are good enough to put up a number on the Bills, in what should be an exciting game, especially on the offensive side of the ball.
It could come down to the final few minutes, where the Ravens’ experience could come up trumps.

Tuesday 9/9/25
We’re taking the underdog value with the Bears, who typically put up a fight at home, and the Vikings could struggle in the opener.
Having players like Justin Jefferson helps the Vikings, but he can get off to a bad start before warming up later in the year. That should allow the Bears to take advantage as $2.08 underdogs, especially if Caleb Williams plays well.
Williams is in his second year, and it’s about time he showed why he was taken as the first pick.
