We don’t often recommend backing against the Chiefs at home, especially with Patrick Mahomes playing. However, there are some things going against the Chiefs for Monday’s game.

They travelled to Brazil to play last week, which ended in a loss to the Los Angeles Chargers. We weren’t impressed with that performance, and now they’re being thrown into the deep end with a game against the Eagles.

Philadelphia made it tough against Dallas last week, but it was a good pipe opener. The Eagles will be better for that performance, and we expect a better effort from Jalen Hurts and Saquon Barkley. The offensive leaders were good without being brilliant, but they will want to play better against the Chiefs.

The two-headed attack of Barkley and Hurts is tough to stop, and they should score touchdowns against the Chiefs.

Hurts is always a threat to score close to the line, and it often comes with a fake handoff to Barkley before trotting into the end zone untouched. He should score another TD on Monday, so include him in NFL multi picks.

Barkley had a quiet season debut, but he doesn’t often have consecutive games without making an impact. We would love to see him used more around the offensive line, as opposed to running through traffic. If that happens, he should break out for a big TD run.

The Eagles could drive their way down the field, which sets up Barkley to power his way over the line. He is tough to stop close to the line, and they will look to get him involved and get his confidence levels back up.
