NBL Round 4 Expert Tips & Predictions

The NBL tips off this week for Round 4 action, kicking off with the Breakers vs. Hawks on Wednesday night.

We have NBL betting tips for every game in 2025/26, including this week’s featured games between the Kings vs. United, 36ers vs. JackJumpers, and Taipans vs. Wildcats.

5:30pm Breakers vs. Hawks @ Spark Arena

Betting Tip: Hawks –5.5 @ $1.90

It has been an awful start to the year for the Breakers, who are being punished for not signing any true scorers. They are 0-4, and with the Hawks being 0-2, we believe the visitors will be keen to put a win on the board.

Last year’s NBL champions haven’t come out of the gate swinging, but the travel didn’t help. With a week under their belt, they should put away the Breakers with an easy win.

7:30pm Kings vs. United @ Qudos Bank Arena

Betting Tip: United @ $2.03

United made a good start to the year with three consecutive wins, and although they have a loss next to their name, that came against the New Orleans Pelicans, which doesn’t count on the NBL ladder.

They have made a better start than Sydney, which is 1-1, and despite playing on the road, United should be too good. They have a quality team, that looks set to make a deep playoff run, and their confidence levels are high.

Take the $2.03 odds with bookmakers.

Thursday 9/10/25

7:30pm 36ers vs. JackJumpers @ Adelaide Entertainment Centre

Betting Tip: JackJumpers +6.5 @ $1.90

Getting a +6.5 start for the in-form JackJumpers is a good line, so we’re taking the underdogs to keep it close in Adelaide.

The 36ers are unbeaten after two games despite off-court drama, but they’re due a loss, and the JackJumpers come off three consecutive victories. There is nothing wrong with that form, and they’re also a chance to win outright at juicy odds.

Take the line before money comes for them during the week.

Friday 10/10/25

7:30pm Taipans vs. Wildcats @ Cairns Convention Centre

Betting Tip: Wildcats –5.5 @ $1.90

The Taipans did well to win consecutive games, as we expected them to be at the bottom of the NBL ladder. However, we’re picking Perth to prevail on the road.

The Wildcats lost their season opener before posting two good wins, and although they lost Bryce Cotton in the off season, they’re playing well enough to compete for another title.

Money has come for Perth, which isn’t surprising against Cairns.

Saturday 11/10/25

5:30pm Hawks vs. Bullets @ WIN Entertainment Centre

Betting Tip: Hawks –5.5 @ $1.90

It’s an important week for the Hawks, who should fancy their chances of evening the leger at 2-2. They play a Bullet teams that started well, but injuries and inconsistency have hit them hard.

After posting three consecutive losses, the Bullets aren’t firing, and they’re heading in the wrong direction. We can’t see them playing well enough to beat the Hawks, and that’s reflected in betting markets.

Take the Hawks –5.5 before that line moves.

Betting Tip: 36ers –3.5 @ $1.90

We tipped against the 36ers earlier in the week, but we can’t see them going Round 4 without a win.

It will have to come against the Kings, who showed their true form when smashing the Breakers, but the level of opposition wasn’t high.

It will be a close game, but the 36ers should have enough in the tank.

2:30pm Breakers vs. Phoenix @ Spark Arena

Betting Tip: Breakers @ $2.00

The Breakers are in real danger of falling too far behind to make a playoff run, despite it being only Round 5. We’re happy to give them a chance at home, and playing the Phoenix could be an ideal team for them.

They match up well in the size department, and although the Breakers don’t have much scoring, they have good interior size.

The $2 odds are worth including in NBL multis.

4:30pm United vs. Taipans @ John Cain Arena

Betting Tip: United

United should easily account for the Taipans, who don’t play well on the road, especially against one of the best teams in the competition.

Odds aren’t out yet, but we expect United to be at around $1.18 to win, and the line should be around –10.5. That would be worth taking in what should be a one-sided affair.
