We thought the Breakers would be the clear favourites to win at home, and despite injuries, they should have enough class to handle the Taipans, who sit one position off the bottom of the NBL ladder.

Betting Tip: Phoenix –5.5 @ $1.90

The Phoenix have three wins from their last four games, and they’re a genuine title contender.

Heading in the wrong direction is United, who couldn’t have started the season any better, but the wheels have all but fallen off.

There is no home court advantage for United, so the Phoenix could continue their impressive shooting form. We have the Phoenix winning by double digits in a one-sided affair.

7:30pm Bullets vs. Kings @ Brisbane Entertainment Centre

Betting Tip: Kings –23.5 @ $1.90

The Kings are one of the hottest teams in the competition, which is why they need to cover the biggest spread offered in some time.

Winning by 24 points isn’t easy, but the Bullets resemble an NBA team wanting a better draft pick. It’s not a good look for the franchise, which doesn’t have much going for it.

Therefore, the Kings should score a comfortable win and cement their spot at the top of the table.

It’s a big money game for the franchises, and although it won’t have an effect on the season-long race, it’s an important win for the financial situation for the teams.
