Betting Tip: Breakers +8.5 @ $1.90

The Breakers showed their worth when beating United at Spark Arena last week, and they weren’t far off beating the JackJumpers when losing by two points.

That loss was a huge dent in their playoff chances, but they should play well against the Phoenix, and we’re surprised by the +8.5 line.

It’s a value offering from bookmakers to start the week.

Betting Tip: 36ers – 3.5 @ $1.90

The 36ers got to the top of the NBL ladder, but they haven’t played well since with three losses from their last five games.

However, despite a tough stretch, they should have too much class for the Hawks, who followed two wins with two losses.

Getting a –3.5 line is good value, so include the 36ers in NBL picks this week.

7:30pm JackJumpers vs. Bullets @ MyState Bank Arena

Betting Tip: JackJumpers –7.5 @ $1.90

Betting on the Bullets is akin to throwing money away, so we’re backing the JackJumpers to score an easy win on Friday night.

They might be dealing with injuries, but they pulled out a win against the Breakers last week, which keeps them in a playoff-bearing position.

Covering a –7.5 line against a poor Bullets outfit won’t be hard.

Betting Tip: Wildcats –15.5 @ $1.90

Punters don’t see –15.5 lines in the NBL very often, but that’s how badly the Taipans are playing right now.

Apart from the Bullets, the Taipans are the worst team in the competition, and we see no way off the bottom from the struggling franchise.

Perth enjoys yet another home game, and it should capitalise.

5:30pm Breakers vs. Hawks @ Spark Arena

Betting Tip: Breakers @ $2.02

The Breakers are an excellent bet at the current odds. They could have easily gone 2-0 last week, and they showed great heart to score a comeback win over United.

There isn’t much going right for the Hawks, so we’re surprised to see them favoured to win. Therefore, punters should jump on the odds.

Parker Jackson-Cartwright is playing well, and he should be at the top of his game on Saturday.

Betting Tip: 36ers @ $2.15

We’re not convinced that United is a title chance based on how they’re playing. Milton Doyle isn’t a premier scorer, and Chris Goulding has become a streaky shooter.

It’s not enough to beat teams like the 36ers on a regular basis, so we’re taking the underdog odds for the 36ers to win on the road.

The odds are better than expected, so take the value.

Betting Tip: Kings @ $1.82

The Kings have stormed into title contention with a long winning streak, and it could continue in the marquee game of the week.

It won’t be an easy game against the in-form Phoenix, but if the Kings want to win a title, they need to win tough road games.

Betting Tip: Taipans @ $1.63

It’s a battle between the worst teams, and we’re leaning towards the Taipans, who at least have a recent win on their record.

We don’t recommend investing too much on this game, and it all comes down to attitude. We give the Taipans the slight advantage, but it’s anyone’s game.
