NBL Round 19 Tips
—
Wednesday 28/1/26
It’s a big line for the 36ers to cover, especially after three losses from their last five games. However, the Bullets are as close to awful as possible, following a 113-75 loss to the Hawks on Monday night.
There is nothing firing for the Bullets, who are shooting blanks, and the 36ers need a win to stay at the top of the NBL ladder.

The Wildcats are getting every chance with the NBL draw, as they get another home game. However, after losing last week, they could struggle to contain the Phoenix.
There is a lot to like about the way the Phoenix are playing, including three straight wins, and they’re pushing the 36ers for the top spot.
It’s not easy to win on the road, but they should have too much class.

Thursday 29/1/26
The Kings have signaled their NBL title ambitions with a good winning streak, and we’re picking it to continue against the Hawks.
The Hawks scored an easy win over the Bullets on Monday, but Sydney is a much better team, and playing at Qudos Bank Arena is another positive.
Take the Kings to win and cover the spread.

Friday 30/1/26
It’s hard to believe the Breakers scored over 100 points in both games last week and came away with no competition points.
Another loss on Friday to United could all but end their finals chances, so we’re picking them to win and keep their good scoring going.
United is due a loss after three straight wins, so bet against the favs.

Despite coming off three straight losses, we’re surprised the JackJumpers are only –2.5 with NBL betting markets.
They are a much better team than the Taipans, who have also lost three straight, and we don’t trust then to turn up.
Tasmania might have injury concerns, but they’re fighting for a playoff spot.

Saturday 31/1/26
It won’t be an easy game for the 36ers, but it’s an important game in the grand scheme of things.
They need to win to stay above the Phoenix on the NBL ladder, and they will need to improve on their recent form.
We’re backing them to have a good game, and it could be a thriller.
36ers by 3
—
A win is important for the Wildcats, and they are a much better team than the defending champions.
Despite playing a couple of good games recently, the Hawks aren’t an elite team this season. The Wildcats could capitalise and produce the goods.
Include them in NBL picks at the current line.

Sunday 1/2/26
It’s a big week for the Breakers, who could put pressure on the JackJumpers with two wins.
This game could be the deciding game to which team makes the NBL finals, and we give the edge to the Breakers.
They have improved their scoring, which could be enough to win.
Breakers by 4
—
The Taipans get the benefit of another home game, but it will unlikely count for nothing against the Kings.
There is a decided class advantage for the Kings, who are marching their way to the finals with a solid winning streak.
An easy win is likely on Sunday.
