The Taipans haven’t had much of an impact this season, and this game gives United a chance to blow away the cobwebs for a one-sided performance.

7:30pm Phoenix vs. Hawks @ State Basketball Centre

Betting Tip: Phoenix

A big game looms for the Phoenix, who would love to keep climbing the NBL ladder after winning four of their last five games.

It won’t be an easy game against the Hawks, who have suddenly found their form of last season with back-to-back wins. However, they aren’t playing with consistency, and the Phoenix should be favoured to win.

They will be a threat later in the season, and they should get past the Hawks.

5:30pm Breakers vs. Kings @ Spark Arena

The Breakers had their chance to beat the Wildcats last week, but their lack of scoring in the clutch is a big problem, especially against the Kings, who are keen to bounce back from two losses.

After looking like title contenders, the Kings will need to recoup and get back to their winning ways. They ended their long winning run with consecutive losses, but beating the Breakers shouldn’t be too hard.

We expect the Kings to be around $1.50, which is a value price.

Betting Tip: 36ers –5.5 @ $1.90

The winning run of the 36ers keeps continuing, and although the JackJumpers can pose a threat, we can’t see the 36ers losing this game.

They have everything they need to win an NBL Championship, and being led by Bryce Cotton, they haven’t lost a game for weeks. That’s hard to do in modern NBL, so credit Adelaide for a terrific mid-season run.

The line is -5.5, so take the home team to come away with a good victory.

5:30pm Taipans vs. Bullets @ Cairns Convention Centre

There isn’t much to get excited about for the Taipans and Bullets, so there won’t be much betting interest in this game.

We expect the Taipans to be slight favourites, and although this is their second game of the week, the experience could work in their favour.
