Cooper Flagg had a very disappointing NBA debut with 10 points, but he played much better when dropping 18 points in his second game. With his confidence growing, and Anthony Davis playing well, that should be enough to win.

Toronto is 1-1, so it has a better record, but playing on the road isn’t its strong point. Look for the Mavericks to pay their loyal fans with a tough home win.

Flagg showed good improvement from his first to second game, and we expect that improvement to keep going. We see him scoring at least 20 points against Toronto’s defence, so the 16.5 line is worth including in NBA picks.

We also like Davis to score over 26.5 points. He should be the games top scorer, in what should be a high-scoring affair. It’s why we’re also including over 231.5 points. Offence trumps defence with these teams, so it’s worth including in NBA SGM picks.

Luka Doncic is well on his way to a scoring title after averaging 46 points per game. He has made a massive start to the year, and he could lead the LeBron-less Lakers to victory over the Kings on Monday afternoon.

He is enjoying having the freedom of being the main scorer, and although the Lakers are stronger with James on the floor, Doncic is ready to take over this team and stamp his mark. Therefore, we’re backing the Lakers to beat the Kings.

Sacramento is 1-1, with the lone win coming at home, but we can’t see them keeping up with the scoring prowess of the Lakers. It should be an exciting and open contest but take the Lakers –2.5.

Lakers –2.5, Luka Doncic Over 33.5 Points, Deandre Ayton Over 8.5 Rebounds, Over 226.5 Points @ $8.50

You don’t often see a player points line at 33.5, but that’s how dominant Doncic has been. He should put up another big score against the Kings, and we’re happy to include him in our Lakers vs. Kings SGM picks.

We also like Deandre Ayton over 8.5 rebounds. He is a good rebounder, and we expect the Kings to put up plenty of misses. Ayton should be there to grab the boards, and 8.5 is a generous line for a player who has found his feet after two games with the Lakers.

Over 226.5 is another solid multi bet inclusion. They typically score big totals when they meet, where defence is unseen.

Trail Blazers vs. Clippers Predictions

Punters get a value line for the Trail Blazers at +8.5 following a big win over the Golden State Warriors.

The situation might have helped the Blazers, but it was a good performance, and it could be enough for this team to worry the Clippers, who aren’t always the best bet when they’re well-favoured to win with bookmakers.

Our trust levels in the Clippers aren’t high, and although they have better players, look for the Blazers to give them a run for their money.

We have been impressed by the start from Deni Avdija, who scored 26 points against the Warriors. He is a quality player in the making, and we expect him to score in double digits again.

Kawhi Leonard should also have a solid scoring night. He goes about his business without much fuss, and the 22.5-point line is lower than expected. If the Clippers want to win, Leonard needs at least 23 points.

Like many NBA games this season, the over has a good chance of cashing.
