He’s one of the more underrated players in the NBA, and after dropping 24 points in the opener, he’s likely to have another big scoring night.

The Hawks have some talented scorers as well, including Trae Young, but they aren’t a consistent team. They could struggle to come back from a 138-118 loss to Toronto, which was a defensive disaster. Look for Orlando to take advantage and pile on the points.

That’s why we’re picking the Knicks to rack up another win over an Eastern Conference rival. They scored an easy win over the Cavaliers, and although the score got close at the end, the Knicks never looked like losing.

They’re a sneaky chance to win the East, and a statement win over the Celtics would go a long way.

We’re backing two Knicks players to deliver, including Jalen Brunson and Karl-Anthony Towns. Brunson dropped 23 points in the opener, and it wasn’t an overly good shooting night for him. However, he’s good enough to start making shots.

The same goes for KAT, who had 19 points. He was effective in the paint, especially early in the game. We don’t think the Celtics have good enough interior defence to stop him, and he’s also a three-point threat.

Anyone who watched the Spurs dismantle the Mavericks on Thursday will be keen to keep following them, and Victor Wembanyama couldn’t have been more impressive.

The Frenchman dominated in the paint with some highlight dunks, and it’s clear that he has put on muscle in the offseason. That makes him a scary player, and he’s already making MVP claims after just one game.

Stephon Castle was also effective, and they should have too many guns for the Pelicans. The Pels lost to Memphis, and they might need a few more weeks to gel.

Punters should expect another massive effort from Wembanyama, who should see no resistance in the paint. His length makes him a threat to dunk at any point, and the Pelicans don’t have the size to compete.

After scoring 40 points on the Mavericks, he is now a complete player, and that’s a scary thought for the opposition. Castle was also good with 22 points, and he should get his chances with De’Aaron Fox still sitting on the sidelines.
