We have NBA picks and predictions for Wednesday, January 14th, which features the Suns vs. Heat, Timberwolves vs. Bucks, and Spurs vs. Thunder.
Our picks include a best bet and NBA same game multi, and we’re looking forward to the NBA action this week.
Suns vs. Heat Predictions
—
Best Bet
The Suns are playing much better basketball than the Heat, who have lost four of their last five games.
Phoenix has four wins from its last five games, and although playing on the road hasn’t typically been a happy hunting ground for the Suns, they are playing with more confidence than usual, which is thanks to Dillon Brooks.
He has added some toughness to the team, and it should be enough to get past the Heat, who are lacking direction this season. Take the Suns at generous head-to-head odds.
—
Same Game Multi
Brooks has been in good scoring form after posting totals of 22, 15, 21, 27, and 16 in his last five games. That’s enough to back over 19.5 points with confidence, and he has become a quality secondary scorer for the Suns.
Grayson Allen can also provide some offence. He scored 19 points last week, and although consistency hasn’t been there, he could get hot from deep. Include Allen over 12.5 points in NBA same game multis.
Over 230.5 points is a good prop bet after they scored 232 points in their latest meeting.
—
Timberwolves vs. Bucks Predictions
—
Best Bet
The Bucks have played well enough recently to beat the Timberwolves, and the –3.5 line is worth including in NBA tips.
They defeated the Lakers last week before going down narrowly to the Nuggets, so they have played well against some of the hardest opposition around, and they also have a good home record, which could be enough to win.
The Timberwolves are 4-1 from their last five games, but three of those games came at home. The only loss came on the road, which boosts our confidence levels with our Bucks pick.
—
Same Game Multi
The Bucks’ success depends on how well Giannis Antetokounmpo plays, and we have him scoring plenty of points on Wednesday. He has been rock-solid for the Bucks, and the Timberwolves could struggle with him in the paint.
Miles Turner isn’t a big rebounder, but he’s averaging around the 5.5 mark, and we expect the Timberwolves to have a tough time boxing him out. He could grab a few offensive rebounds, so include him in picks.
Our final score prediction has the Bucks winning 118-112, so include the over.
—
Spurs vs. Thunder Predictions
—
Best Bet
The Spurs are 2-0 against the Thunder, and we fancy their chances of making it three wins. However, there is much better value in taking the +7.5 line.
They have the wood over the defending champions, who can’t seem to solve the puzzle, and with the Thunder losing to the likes of Charlotte last week, they’re not playing their best basketball recently, despite having the NBA’s best record.
Given their recent history, we’re loving the +7.5 line available with the latest NBA odds.
—
Same Game Multi
Victor Wembanyama has been coming off the bench and scoring good numbers, so we’re backing him to have over 21.5 points. His length makes it tough for the opposition to defend him, and he could post another big score on the Thunder.
De’Aaron Fox has been a good distributor, and it helps when the Spurs shoot at a good percentage. We have Fox scoring well over 5.5 assists, so include it in NBA picks.
These teams can put on points, as shown in their first meeting this season. Look for a similar score, so include over 229.5 points.
