They come off a tidy win over the Heat, scoring 127-115, and a repeat of that effort is easily enough to win and cover the –9.5 spread against the Jazz, who have only one win from their last five games.

There is hope for the Hawks after the trade deadline, and with Jalen Johnson firing on all cylinders, punters should be confident.

They are unlikely to have their new additions, but the Hornets are playing well enough to beat the Rockets on their merits after going on a long winning streak. They scored recent wins over the Pelicans, Spurs, and Mavericks, which are all quality wins.

Houston is a quality team as well, but they lost heavily to the Celtics on Thursday, and playing the second game of a back-to-back won’t help their chances.

Punters get much better odds for the Hornets to win outright at $2.42.

Most of the money has come for Joel Embiid and the 76ers, but this isn’t an ideal matchup for them, and with Luka Doncic looking to bounce back after an uncharacteristic 24 points, he should lead the Lakers to a big victory.

Consistency is needed for the Lakers, and this is a good chance to put consecutive wins on the board.

Doncic’s lines have been in the high range all season, so the 31.5-point line is fair. He’s a dynamic scorer, and he could outduel the 76ers with a big scoring night.
