With Nikola Jokic playing on a minute restriction, we’re backing the Pistons to hold down the fort at home on Wednesday.

They have won four of their last five games, including quality wins over the Warriors and the Nuggets, so having beaten them recently adds to their appeal.

The Nuggets don’t play as well on the road, and after losing to the Thunder on Monday, it could be too tough for them to get up for this game. Take the Pistons to cover the –4.5 spread.

Cade Cunningham is a player worth following for the rest of the season. He’s an excellent two-way player, and we fancy him scoring over 24.5 points.

Our NBA same game multi includes Jokic under 23.5 points. He won’t play the full game, and if the Nuggets are losing by a solid margin, he’ll likely sit much of the fourth quarter.

For that reason, we’re also including under 227.5 points, in what should be a defensive game.

Celtics vs. Mavericks Predictions

The recent losing streak doesn’t look good for the Mavericks, but they are playing much better than their record suggests.

They suffered many close losses, including a 123-121 loss to the Hornets and a 111-107 loss to the Rockets last time on court. Those were good efforts without winning, and it’s on the back of Cooper Flagg producing the goods.

The NBA rookie is all but a lock to win the Rookie of the Year title, and if he scores anywhere close to 30 points, the Mavericks should cover the +7.5 spread, which is a good line for the home team.

Mavericks +7.5, Cooper Flagg Over 20.5 Points, Klay Thompson Over 13.5 Points, Over 222.5 Points @ $8.75

We can’t believe the line for Flagg at 20.5 points. He scored 49 points against Charlotte before dropping 34 points against the Rockets, so he shouldn’t be at 20.5 points against the Celtics. Therefore, include him in NBA same game multi picks.

Klay Thompson is threatening to have a breakout performance. He’s clearly not playing to the level he was with Golden State, but the stroke is still there. Take Thompson over 13.5 points.

It should be a high-scoring contest, and the 222.5-point total is lower than expected.

The Thunder have a good record against the Magic at home, but this game could be closer than bookmakers expect.

We have the Magic making a game of it in the second half, and with the Thunder losing three of their last five games, they’re not the invincible force that was being suggested earlier this year.

With the Magic roster featuring Paolo Banchero, Desmond Bane, and Jalen Suggs, they can cover the spread, and they could have a chance to win outright.

Magic +7.5, Paolo Banchero Over 23.5 Points, Chet Holmgren Under 18.5 Points, Over 218.5 Points @ $10.25

The Magic need Banchero to have a good scoring night to keep in touch, and the superstar rarely lets punters down. He is one of the more consistent scorers in the NBA, so back him to score over 23.5 points.

Chet Holmgren can get in early foul trouble, which is why backing him to score over 18.5 points is a risk. We’re taking the under, and he has scored less than 18.5 points in three of his last four games.

Over 218.5 is a good line. They are high-powered offences, and we had the line at 224.5, so take the value NBA line.
