We have NBA picks and predictions for Tuesday, February 3rd, which features the Pelicans vs. Hornets, Rockets vs. Lakers, and Timberwolves vs. Grizzlies.
Our picks include a best bet and NBA same game multi, and we’re looking forward to the NBA action this week.
Pelicans vs. Hornets Predictions
—
Best Bet
The Hornets have produced a winning streak out of nowhere, and it’s likely to continue against the Pelicans on Tuesday.
They were too good for the Spurs in an upset result last weekend, and if they play up to that level, they should put up a big total against the struggling Pelicans, who lost to Philadelphia 124-114 in their last game.
Confidence and momentum are with the Hornets, who we’re backing the cover the –7.5 spread at home.
—
Same Game Multi
Kon Knueppel’s stocks have risen over the last couple of weeks. He scored 34 points against the Mavericks in a massive shooting effort, and when the first one goes down, you can guarantee he’ll make a few more threes. Back him to have over 18.5 points.
We also have Zion Williamson under 21.5 points in our NBA same game multi picks. He comes off an 11-point performance against the 76ers, which doesn’t inspire us.
They combined for 228 points in their last meeting, and we have the game going over 232.5 points.
—
Rockets vs. Pacers Predictions
—
Best Bet
The Pacers have shown improved form recently after back-to-back wins, but the Rockets should have too much class for them to handle.
Houston has four wins from its last five games, including recent wins over the Hawks and Mavericks, and their latest game against the Pacers was a 126-119 win. We expect a bigger scoreline from the favourites on Tuesday, despite playing on the road.
With the likes of Alperen Sengun and Amen Thompson on the floor, covering a –5.5 line isn’t hard for the Rockets, even with Kevin Durant out of action due to injury.
—
Same Game Multi
With Durant out of action, emphasis goes on Sengun to score buckets. He has only 23 points from his last two games, which were poor efforts, but with the scoring firmly on his shoulders, he should have a much better game.
The Rockets would love production from Reed Shepard, who is a streaky shooter. His last four games haven’t been great, but he scored 18 points against the Pistons, and we’re backing him to score over 17.5 points.
It should be a high-scoring game, and defence will take a back step. Over 219.5 points is a good line with NBA odds.
—
Timberwolves vs. Grizzlies Predictions
—
Best Bet
Most of the early money has come for the Timberwolves, and it’s hard to make a case against them.
They have won four consecutive games against the Warriors, Mavericks, Thunder, and against this Memphis team last week. The 131-114 game is a good indication of what punters should expect on Tuesday, and it could be a similar score.
There is too much depth with the Timberwolves for the Grizzlies to handle, especially the current roster of the home team.
—
Same Game Multi
Anthony Edwards had 33 points in the most recent game against the Grizzlies, and he should have another big scoring night. He is one of a few players who can get their own shot, so he won’t lack scoring opportunities.
We expect the Grizzlies to struggle scoring, which should leave Rudy Gobert to clean up the boards. He had 16 boards in the first meeting, so he’s putting up big numbers. Take the over 12.5 rebounds and include it in NBA same game multi picks. They scored 245 points last week, so over 227.5 is a good addition.
