The two-year-old son of Capitalist showed good barrier speed on debut, and he will only be stronger with that run under his belt.

#2 – Justice Warrior @ $2.60

Justice Warrior has been threatening to break maidens with seven placings from 10 starts, including four placings on soft tracks.

The Kristen Buchanan-trained gelding meets an odds-on favourite here, but he’s good enough to get the better of the $1.75 favourite.

Include him in horse racing multis.

Race 3. (13:55) Austbrokers Maiden (1350m)

#10 – Sapling @ $2.35

Sapling didn’t show much during her first preparation, but she comes off an improved fourth at Canterbury in wet conditions.

The Sara Ryan-trained filly should appreciate those runs under her belt, and we would have priced her at around $1.85 for this race.

Carrying 55kg should make her tough to beat.

Race 4. (14:35) Hospitality Supplies C1 (1600m)

#3 – The Professor @ $3.90

The Professor looks to cap off three consecutive placings with a win having placed at Kembla Grange last time out.

He owns a win and six placings from 13 starts, so his overall record is solid, and it won’t take him much longer to win another race.

Having Jason Collett riding could be enough to take him close.

Race 5. (15:10) Carlton & United Breweries C1 (1350m)

#1 – Carnegie Hill @ $3.70

Carnegie Hill is seeking consecutive wins after scoring at Hawkesbury by 1.5 lengths to break maidens, which was an excellent performance.

The three-year-old son of I Am Invincible gets a valuable 1.5kg off her back, which is enough to see him rise through the grades.

Getting $3.70 is an excellent price from bookmakers, so include him in picks.

Race 6. (15:50) Harvey Norman Midway BM68 (1300m)

#6 – Zip on By @ $3.10

Zip on By resumed from a spell with a tidy second placing at Gosford in heavy conditions, and that’s the best form guide for this race.

The five-year-old daughter of Sebring has experience racing at Wyong, and that could prove vital in the concluding stages of the race.

Getting the inside draw and dropping to 53kg is ideal.

Race 7. (16:25) Wyong Roos Foundation BM64 (1000m)

#9 – Flame of Hestia @ $2.80

Flame of Hestia made it consecutive wins fresh up when scoring at Newcastle, and we’re prepared to forgive her most recent run.

The three-year-old filly by Too Darn Hot has plenty of upside at this level, so we’re not surprised by the shortening odds.

Barrier two with Jason Collett riding is ideal.
