The three-year-old filly by So You Think will appreciate the rise in distance more than most in this field, and her opening odds have been smashed.

Listen Sweetheart resumed with a good win at Canberra, and although there is more depth in this field, she can handle it.

We always enjoy backing a John Sargent-trained filly, and he tends to get the best out of younger horses, especially at this level.

Getting the inside draw with 55kg on her back is ideal.

Race 3. (14:45) Reward Homes Maiden (1350m)

Punters are getting a tad frustrated with Saytara, who keeps promising to deliver but continues to find a few better.

The Waterhouse/Bott-trained filly by Written Tycoon ran second at Warwick Farm two back before running fourth at Canterbury.

Coming to Wyong could see her form improve enough to win.

Race 4. (15:20) Ash & Sons BM64 (1200m)

Punters get each-way odds for Pratt, who comes off two placings at Port Macquarie, and this isn’t an overly tough BM64 field.

The four-year-old son of Exceed and Excel is a past winner at Wyong, so having winning form at the track adds to his appeal.

3kg comes off his back, which is enough to get the job done.

Race 5. (15:55) Stone Lifestyle Real Estate Maiden (1200m)

#6 – Western Lane @ $3.90

The four-year-old son of Written By appeared to have needed the run last time out, so we’re prepared to forgive that effort.

He showed better speed when running second at Kembla Grange last preparation, and a repeat of that effort should take him close.

Dropping to 54.5kg is enough to take him close.

Anthropoid wasn’t too far away from the prize when posting two fourths last prep, which came in the city.

The two-year-old colt by Prague ran fourth behind Thrill Hunter on debut before finishing behind Revengeance last time out.

That came at Group 3 level, so the form stacks up.
