The five-year-old has turned his form around nicely and running over 1200m looks ideal. He didn’t fully enjoy longer distances, and dropping in distance has worked a treat.

Barrier two is ideal and he’s the one to beat.

It could pay to forgive Marhaba’s most recent run down the Flemington straight. He’s much better around a turn and he boasts a win and a placing at The Valley.

Getting the inside draw is ideal and the odds are far too good to overlook.

His good form came to an end last time out and that’s a concern. He has always been a confidence runner but his preparation might have come to an end.
