She broke maidens with an eight-length smashing, and although racing in wet conditions is an unknown, she’s bred to handle it, being out of a top Kiwi mare.

Take the each-way odds before more money comes for her.

Race 2. (13:25) Traffic Warden Darley Maiden (1100m)

Maninera is on debut for Bjorn Baker, and this stable knows how to get their juveniles up and running.

The two-year-old filly by Exceed and Excel is bred to be quick, and she has looked good in winning two trials at Warwick Farm and Rosehill.

Getting the inside draw helps, and her odds have been halved.

Race 3. (14:00) Vinne Three-Time Champion Sire BM64 (1100m)

#10 – Ready to Rocket @ $7.00

Looking to take off is Ready to Rocket, who won on debut at Hawkesbury before placing at Kembla Grange in consecutive starts.

The four-year-old mare by Smart Missile got through the heavy conditions well enough last start behind Let’s Go Again, which is solid form.

Dropping to 55kg off the inside draw adds to her appeal.

#3 – Up and Under @ $6.50

Each-way value is with Up and Under, who is better for two runs back from a spell, including a fourth at Warwick Farm last start.

The five-year-old son of Lope de Vega is only a one-time winner from 18 starts, but he owns two second placings in heavy conditions.

Having James McDonald in the saddle could be enough to see him win.

Race 5. (15:10) Hawaii Five Oh Vinery Stud BM72 (1100m)

Money has come for Apex, who ran second as a $1.60 favourite last start, but punters should stick with him for another run.

The three-year-old son of Exceedance owns a win and four placings from six starts, so we’re not surprised by the shortening odds.

We expect punters to include him in multi bets.

#6 – Sounds Unusual @ $4.20

Sounds Unusual is bred to enjoy wet track racing, and the four-year-old hasn’t missed a win or placing yet.

The Waller-trained gelding won at Canterbury before placing at Warwick Farm, and based on that form, we expected shorter odds.

Take the $4.20 odds before bookmakers wise up and shorten them.

The five-year-old won narrowly at Wyong before running poorly at Randwick, but this is a different race, and she could bounce back.
