We don’t think Too Darn Lizzie was suited at Flemington, and her win at Caulfield two back is a much better form guide.

She needs a tighter-turning track, and she is likely to lead and try to kick clear approaching for the home turn. If she leads, she is good enough to hold on and pay a handsome price.

We couldn’t have been more impressed with Aeliana when she won on Derby Day. She reeled them in with ease at Flemington, and that’s the mark of a good filly.

She sat back throughout before quickly putting up a couple of lengths on them, and James McDonald hadn’t even asked for the supreme effort.

She’s heading places, and she could be too strong for them.

(3) Geegees Mistruth (Best Each Way – $12.00)

We’re going back to the well with Geegees Mistruth for one more run, and nothing quite went right for her in the Vanity.

She was keen throughout and never settled, but her second placings at Caulfield and The Valley to start the preparation are too strong to ignore.

She’s talented, and due to the odds, we’re giving her another chance.

Another strong winner throughout the Melbourne Spring Carnival, and she has been well-backed to beat the favourite.

She won well on Derby Day when beating Matisse by 1.3 lengths, which should be a solid enough form guide for the Thousand Guineas.

Being an undefeated runner always attracts attention, and there could be some late money for the filly.

She comes off a good win at The Valley when looping the field in the straight, but this race is a much harder task.

We’re not sure where to place her, but she’s on the thin-end of first four picks.

The half-sister to Hartnell hasn’t done much wrong this season, including close placings behind Aeliana and Zeitung.

Craig Williams is riding very well during this carnival, and it won’t take much to get Dominetta to improve enough to win, so include her in picks.

There was nothing wrong with her placing last start behind Zeitung, and she only needs a touch of luck from out wide to go close.

She was beaten on her merits with a soft run, but it showed that she can mix it with the best milers in this field.

The Maher-trained daughter of Brazen Beau comes off a placing at Flemington behind Aeliana, but he has yet to win this prep.

We can’t see her turning around the 3.5-length deficit.

A consistent filly who might be a touch below the best in this race, and we don’t see much confidence in betting markets.

She’s better for two runs this preparation and we liked the way she found the line in the Vanity behind Zeitung.

That should be a good form guide, and it suggested that she’s ready to rise to the mile and be a strong staying type for the future.

We’re not leaving her out in an even race.

She hit the line impressively in the Vanity, but she doesn’t do herself many favours during the run, and that’s our big concern.

She will need to run straight to have any chance of beating this field, and at $13.00, we’re going to leave her out of our selections.

A maiden winner at Kembla Grange last start. It was an effortless win, but this is a massive rise in class.

(13) Stage ‘N’ Screen ($12.00)

The Kiwi-trained filly is an interesting runner. She won on debut at Seymour before being caught wide last time out, so that was a forgive run.

She hasn’t come through the Vanity, so it’s hard to line up how strong her form is. Any positive betting moves would be telling.
