The three-year-old son of Exceedance hit the line well enough at Wyong last start, and it’s good to see some specking for him.

There is a short-priced favourite, but he’s a better value runner.

Race 4. (13:55) Armidale Bowling Club Maiden (1400m)

#8 – Spandex @ $4.00

Spandex looks to cap off consecutive placings with a win, and he should be ready to fire after five race day starts.

The three-year-old son of Pariah was only two lengths behind the winner last start at Port Macquarie, and that’s an ideal form guide.

#2 – Rhythm is a Dancer @ $3.50

We backed Rhythm is a Dancer when he ran second at Dubbo last start, and there was plenty of merit in that performance.

The six-year-old gelding by Sir Prancelot is a three-time winner at Tamworth, so he should love getting back to this track.

62kg isn’t easy to carry, but he’s worth backing in this race.

Race 6. (15:15) Walgett Sporties BM82 (1600m)

#8 – Annulus @ $8.00

Annulus is threatening to win a race this prep after posting three placings, and there isn’t much to this field.

The six-year-old son of Your Song is only a four-time winner, but he has been right around the mark throughout his career.

55.5kg is ideal, so he is worth including in picks.

Race 7. (15:55) Glen Innes Services C3 (1400m)

#4 – Lord Protector @ $8.50

Lord Protector is always around the mark, and he has been close to breaking through with two fourths this preparation.

The four-year-old son of Savabeel opened at $6 before drifting to $8.50, and we’re happy to snap up the better value.

It’s not a tough field, so include him in picks.

#3 – This One Time @ $4.40

The three-year-old filly owns two wins and two placings from seven starts, including wins at Tamworth and Dubbo.

She comes off a second placing at Tamworth, so she runs well at the track, and her form over the distance is exceptional.

The each-way odds are too good to pass up.
