gobet sha tin racing tips

We have expert betting tips for racing at Sha Tin on Saturday, which includes 11 races at the weekend meeting.

Punters get good value odds for the Hong Kong racing feature, and we have betting tips for every race on the card.

Sha Tin horse racing tips

Race 1. (14:30) Shing Mun River Handicap (1400m)

#8 – Flying Romantic

Flying Romantic could take advantage of a moderate field on Saturday, having posted two placings from his last three starts.

The four-year-old son of Dundeel gets all favours from barrier three, and coming off a third placing at Sha Tin is a good form guide.

We expect him to be right around the mark.

Stake: 1 Unit

Race 2. (15:00) Sha Tin Hoi Handicap (1200m)

#1 – Courier Aladdin

Courier Aladdin didn’t fire at Sha Tin last time out, but the four-year-old looked good winning on debut at this track.

The son of Satono Aladdin is good enough to bounce back after a poor effort, and getting Zac Purton in the saddle helps.

We expect plenty of money to come for him on race day.

Stake: 2 Units

Race 3. (15:30) Sha Tin Hoi Handicap (1200m)

#5 – Incredible Moment

Incredible Moment has threatened to win at Happy Valley, and coming to Sha Tin could see his form improve enough to win.

The three-year-old gelding by Royal Meeting was only 1.8 lengths behind the winner last start, which is a good form guide.

Punters should get each-way odds on race day.

Stake: 1 Unit

Race 4. (16:00) Pai Tau Handicap (1650m)

#9 – Meep Meep

Meep Meep is better than a one-win type, with that win coming two starts back before finishing second at Sha Tin last start.

The five-year-old son of Not a Single Doubt is never too far away from the mark and getting in with 55.5kg is ideal.

He only needs a touch of luck from a wide barrier to go close.

Stake: 1.5 Units

Race 5. (16:30) Tin Sam Handicap (1400m)

#1 – Dazzling Fit

Dazzling Fit has steadily improved throughout his career, including a win at Sha Tin by 1.5 lengths last time out.

The three-year-old son of Ribchester paid only $2.60 last start, and we can’t imagine punters will get a similar price on Saturday.

Barrier three is ideal, so he’s well worth backing.

Stake: 2 Units

Race 6. (17:00) The Lion Rock Trophy (1600m)

#7 – Divano

Divano isn’t always the most consistent type going around, but he won well two starts back by a length.

The four-year-old son of Brave Smash didn’t fire last time out, but he’s a five-time winner at Sha Tin, and carrying 54kg is ideal.

Punters should get each-way odds on race day.

Stake: 2 Units

Race 7. (17:35) Tai Wai Handicap (1200m)

#8 – Stellar Swift

Stellar Swift won well three back at Happy Valley, and although he’s not as good at Sha Tin, he’s good enough to beat this field.

The four-year-old son of Starspangledbanner typically pays double-figure odds, and getting in with 55kg is ideal.

Barrier two is ideal and he should get a dream run from there.

Stake: 1 Unit

Race 8. (18:05) The Sha Tin Vase Handicap (1200m)

#2 – Helios Express

Class is with Helios Express, who looks to cap off seven consecutive placings with a win on Saturday.

The five-year-old gelding is a seven-time winner overall, and placing behind Ka Ying Rising in seven straight runs is a great form guide.

This is his time to get back into the winners’ circle.

Stake: 4 Units

Race 9. (18:40) Fo Tan Handicap (1400m)

#3 – Everyone’s Star

Gunning for back-to-back wins is Everyone’s Star, who won by just under a length at Sha Tin.

The four-year-old son of Puissance de Lune wasn’t firing before that win, but the money was on, so expectations are high.

Purton rides, which will drive down his odds.

Stake: 1.5 Units

Race 10. (19:15) Penfold Park Handicap (1650m)

#6 – Soleil Fighter

Class is with Soleil Fighter, who is already a three-time winner this preparation, and he doesn’t know how to run a bad race.

The five-year-old son of Sea the Moon was just behind the winner as a $2 chance last start, so punters should get slightly better odds.

Barrier 11 is a negative, but it’s another good ride for Purton.

Stake: 1.5 Units

Race 11. (19:50) Ma Liu Shui Handicap (1600m)

#4 – Gentleman Legacy

Value should be with Gentleman Legacy, who ended last prep with a win at Caulfield before being sold to Hong Kong interests.

His HK debut was a seventh at Sha Tin, but he should improve with that run under his belt, so watch for betting moves.

Barrier five adds to his appeal.

Stake: 1 Unit
