gobet sha tin racing tips

We have expert betting tips for racing at Sha Tin on Sunday, which includes 10 races at the weekend meeting.

Punters get good value odds for the Hong Kong racing meeting, and we have betting tips for every race on the card.

Sha Tin horse racing tips

Race 1. (14:45) Celebrating Timeless Tradition Handicap (1400m)

#6 – Fairy Horse

He hasn’t been too far away from the prize this season, including three consecutive placings to open things up.

The four-year-old son of Churchill owns four placings from 17 starts overall, and he won’t get a better chance to win a race.

Having Hugh Bowman riding just adds to his chances.

Stake: 1.5 Units

Race 2. (15:15) Ownership Pride Handicap (1200m)

#7 – Cheer for South

Cheer for South is having a long campaign, but the five-year-old gelding by Deep Field keeps running well.

He won at Sha Tin two back before placing last time out behind Wind Speeder, and that’s a tidy enough form guide for this race.

Punters should get each-way odds on race day.

Stake: 1.5 Units

Race 3. (15:45) Racing Heritage Handicap (1200m)

#1 – Rising Force

Looking to remain unbeaten is Rising Force, who won at Sha Tin by two lengths as a $3.50 chance.

The three-year-old son of Deep Field will need a touch of luck from an awkward barrier but having Derek Leung riding helps.

We’re hoping for each-way odds on race day.

Stake: 1 Unit

Race 4. (16:15) Members Care Handicap (1800m)

#2 – Oriental Smoke

Oriental Smoke comes off back-to-back placings at Sha Tin, and he doesn’t need to improve too much to handle this field.

The seven-year-old is a five-time winner overall, and getting Zac Purton in the saddle could be all he needs to get back to winning form.

Money is likely to come for him, so take the opening odds.

Stake: 2 Units

Race 5. (17:10) The Beijing Clubhouse Cup (1000m)

#3 – Heroic Master

Heroic Master has yet to win from four attempts at Sha Tin, but he has been close with three placings.

The six-year-old finished ninth at Happy Valley last start, but he was only 2.2 lengths behind the winner in a blanket finish.

Barrier four is ideal, so expect a bounce back effort.

Stake: 2 Units

Race 6. (17:40) The Hilltop in the Valley Handicap (1200m)

#8 – Rainbow Seven

Rainbow Seven ran second on debut at Sha Tin as a $109 chance, and we can’t see punters getting those odds again.

There are some unknown runners in this field, but having form on the board bodes well for the son of Per Incanto.

We’re happy to include him in picks at each-way odds.

Stake: 1 Unit

Race 7. (18:10) The Members Cup (1200m)

#1 – Gummy Gummy

Boasting three consecutive placings is Gummy Gummy, who is long overdue a winning performance.

The five-year-old son of Snitzel is bred to win plenty of races, and he’s much better than a three-time winner. He also owns 12 placings, so he’s consistent enough.

Having Purton in the saddle should take him close.

Stake: 2 Units

Race 8. (18:40) Sha Tin Clubhouse Handicap (1400m)

#2 – With a Smile

Punters who stuck with With a Smile were rewarded last start, and the three-year-old is worth backing again on Sunday.

He scored a narrow win at Sha Tin as a $3.10 chance, and it was good to see him dig deep for the victory.

Barrier 13 isn’t ideal, but over 1400m, Purton should have enough time to find a spot.

Stake: 2 Units

Race 9. (19:15) Beas River Country Club Handicap (1200m)

#3 – Modulecontruction

Moduleconstruction scored an overdue win at $10 odds last time out, and he should run well again for the Lui stable.

The five-year-old son of Overshare owns three wins and eight placings from 14 starts, so he’s never too far away from the mark.

We expect him to be tough to hold out.

Stake: 1 Unit

Race 10. (19:50) Shenzen Centre Handicap (1600m)

#9 – Definitive

Purton could get himself another winner with Definitive, who won earlier this preparation at Happy Valley.

The four-year-old son of War Decree has yet to fire in three attempts at Sha Tin, but this race is there for the taking.

We expect him to be around the mark at each-way odds.

Stake: 1 Unit
