gobet sha tin racing tips

We have expert betting tips for racing at Sha Tin on Saturday, which includes 11 races at the weekend meeting.

Punters get good value odds for the Hong Kong racing feature, and we have betting tips for every race on the card.

Sha Tin horse racing tips

Race 1. (18:00) Kam Tin River Handicap (1400m)

#3 – Circuit Fiery

Circuit Fiery looks to keep his momentum going after placing at Sha Tin, which is a good form guide for this race.

The five-year-old son of Tavistock owns three placings from 12 starts overall, and it’s only a matter of time before he wins a race.

Getting Zac Purton in the saddle only adds to his appeal.

Stake: 2 Units

Race 2. (18:30) Lam Tsuen River Handicap (1200m)

#3 – Draco

Draco showed good speed earlier this preparation when posting a couple of placings, and that form measures up well enough.

The four-year-old son of Deep Field has paid under $10 in every start this prep, so punters shouldn’t expect big odds on Saturday.

We’re happy to include him in our picks.

Stake: 1.5 Units

Race 3. (19:00) Nam Chung River Handicap (2000m)

#1 – Fallon

Fallon didn’t fire last time out but his form prior included two wins and two second placings.

The five-year-old son of Galileo Gold is a five-time winner overall, with two wins coming at Sha Tin, so that form checks out.

We’re happy to include him in our Hong Kong picks.

Stake: 1 Unit

Race 4. (19:30) Beas River Handicap (1200m)

#5 – Copartner Fleet

Looking to go one better than his debut run is Copartner Fleet, who was only a length away from the winner as a $3.80 chance.

Punters should expect shorter odds for Saturday’s race, as there aren’t too many promising types in this race.

Include him in all picks, especially with Purton riding.

Stake: 3 Units

Race 5. (20:00) Ng Tung River Handicap (2000m)

#3 – Romantic Fantasy

The five-year-old son of Fascinating Rock is good enough to beat this field, and he should be right around the mark.

He comes off a placing Happy Valley, and although it didn’t come at Sha Tin, his confidence levels should be rising.

Look for each-way odds on race night.

Stake: 1 Unit

Race 6. (20:30) Beas River Handicap (1200m)

#1 – Lucky My Way

Looking to go back-to-back is Lucky My Way, who won by two lengths at Sha Tin, and he could repeat the dose.

The three-year-old son of Proisir is bred to keep winning at this level, and although it’s a harder field, he has more upside than most here.

Anything around $4.50 is a fair price.

Stake: 2 Units

Race 7. (19:05) Sha Tau Kok River Handicap (1650m)

#6 – Precision Goal

Precision Goal comes off back-to-back placings at Sha Tin, and that form is good enough to handle this level of racing.

The six-year-old son of Tavistock runs his best races at Sha Tin with 15 starts for three wins and six placings, so the record speaks for itself.

Barrier 12 doesn’t help, but he has time to find cover.

Stake: 2 Units

Race 8. (19:35) The Pearce Memorial Challenge Cup (1000m)

#6 – Horsepower

We’re going with another Purton ride with Horsepower, who hasn’t been the most consistent type this prep, but he has two wins.

The four-year-old son of Harry Angel won by 1.2 lengths at Happy Valley two back, and if that form comes to Sha Tin, it’s good enough.

Look for a betting push on race night.

Stake: 1.5 Units

Race 9. (22:05) Shan Pui River Handicap (1400m)

#5 – Oldtown

Looking to improve on a tidy fourth is Oldtown, who was only 2.5 lengths behind the winner last start after showing nothing on debut.

He is a three-year-old son of Territories, who could pay each-way odds with bookmakers, and they’re worth snapping up.

Include him in picks for a small unit.

Stake: 1 Unit

Race 10. (22:40) Shek Sheung River Handicap (1650m)

#2 – Dragon Air Force

Form is with Dragon Air Force, who owns three wins and three placings from seven starts at Sha Tin, including last time out.

The four-year-old son of Swiss Ace won by just under a length last start, and there was good late money for him.

Punters should expect something similar on Saturday.

Stake: 1.5 Units

Race 11. (23:15) Tan Shan River Handicap (1400m)

#4 – Top Dragon

Top Dragon looks to make it three consecutive wins after scoring at Sha Tin by a narrow margin, and he’s the form runner of the field.

He will need a good ride for barrier 14, but Purton rides, and he could have another big night in the saddle.

Punters are likely to get around $2.40, so include him in multis.

Stake: 3 Units
