The four-year-old mare by Dundeel scored by a length as a $1.65 favourite at Muswellbrook, and she looks set for higher levels of racing.

Carrying 60kg isn’t easy for a mare, but she has more ability than her opposition.

#6 – Truce @ $4.80

Scott Singleton lines up Truce, who comes off a trial win at Scone, and she looks ready to make an impact on debut.

The four-year-old mare by Epaulette opened at $6.50 before firming into $4.80, which is a noteworthy betting move.

There isn’t much over this field, so include her at each-way odds.

Race 3. (14:25) Arrowfield C1 (1600m)

#11 – Mount Bona @ $3.60

Ready to win is Mount Bona, who showed good pace when running second at Muswellbrook last time out.

The four-year-old mare by Night of Thunder is a past winner at Scone and having that form on the board bodes well for this race.

With Aaron Bullock riding, she should get every chance in the run.

Crathie Kirk hasn’t been far away in two career starts, including a third placing at Muswellbrook last start behind African Diamond.

We expect that form to hold up well at Scone, and Kris Lees always has good success when bringing his runners here.

There is good betting support, which is a positive sign.

Nathan Doyle trains Noble, who wasn’t asked for too much at the trials, and the betting move is encouraging.

He opened at $10 before firming quickly into $7, and it was likely stable money. That is always a good sign, and he gets the inside draw to his advantage.

His odds could continue to firm, so take the current price.

It was only a matter of time before Shanandoah River scored a maiden win, and she did it in fine style with a three-length victory at Scone.

Having winning form on the track is ideal, and the three-year-old filly by Anders looks well-placed to rise through the grades.

$2.10 is likely to shorten to around $1.80, so take the current price.

#6 – Jagerschnitzel @ $5.00

Boasting consistent form is Jagerschnitzel, who won at Dubbo before placing at Muswellbrook last time out.

The four-year-old son of Zousain owns a win and five placings from 10 starts, and they usually stay in form from the Cameron Crockett stable.

It’s an open field, and he could be the best of them.

Race 8. (17:30) Coolmore BM66 (1100m)

#6 – Trapeze Legend @ $9.50

Trapeze Legend has yet to finish worse than second in two starts at Scone, including a win, and that’s good enough form to win.

We’re surprised to see the odds available, as we priced him at around $5.50, so we’re snapping up the value with bookmakers.

His second-up form is perfect, so he’s a terrific each-way bet.
