Black Storm comes off an unlucky run for second at Swan Hill where he was held up in the straight before getting out late.
The five-year-old gelding by Caravaggio owns three wins and eight placings from 13 starts, and he only needs luck from a wide barrier.
Getting $9 is an excellent price for the former Singapore runner.
Stake: 1 Unit
Bluestone was no match for the winner last start when running third, but the race didn’t pan out for it, so we’re happy to give him another chance.
The four-year-old son of Reliable Man looked good winning at Mornington and Sandown prior, and those wins are good form guides.

Ten Deep owns two wins and three placings from seven starts, including a win and a placing from two starts at Sandown.
The four-year-old mare ran third at Sandown last start before spelling, and that came behind the talented Proved, so the form checks out.

Seeking consecutive wins is He’ll Rip, who scored by a nose at Sandown at double-figure odds.
The five-year-old son of Hellbent has an excellent second-up record with four starts for two wins and two placings, which bodes well.
Getting 2kg off his back is ideal, so take the value odds.
Stake: 1 Unit
The Western Front was always going to need the fresh up run at Sandown, and he should be ready to show his best form.
He is a two-time winner from seven starts, and although he hasn’t risen through the grades as expected, he’s still talented enough to win.
Barrier four is ideal and money has come for him.
