Punters get value odds for Treasured Crown in the Australian Steeplechase. The Symon Wilde-trained runner has looked good this year, so punters should be confident.

He owns two wins and three placings from six starts over the jumps, including a win at Warrnambool by 18 lengths earlier this prep.

Stern Idol is a champ, but the weight could be too much for him.

Money has come for Captain Electric at $5.50, and he’s good enough to be competitive against this level of opposition.

The four-year-old son of Savabeel is a two-time winner from nine starts, and although barrier 17 might put some punters off, he has time to find cover over 2100m.

At the odds, he’s worth including in picks.

Race 4. (13:50) Sportsbet Hurdle BM120 (3400m)

#5 – Sing for Peace @ $2.15

We’re happy to back the favourite at $2.15, and he seeks consecutive hurdle wins on Sunday.

The Payne-trained six-year-old owns a win and four placings from five starts over the jumps, including a win at Sandown.

Include him in horse racing multi bets for the feature meeting.

Race 5. (14:30) Sportsbet Australian Hurdle (3900m)

#2 – Affluential @ $2.25

Affluential prepared for this race with a good win at Mornington this week, and he should be tough to beat in the feature.

The six-year-old son of Zed will need to get past The Cunning Fox, who is unbeaten in five starts over jumps, but he’s good enough to achieve the feat.

We see him turning the tables from his second placing at Warrnambool.

Race 6. (15:10) Sandown Cup (3200m)

#6 – Through Irish Eyes @ $4.60

Value is with Through Irish Eyes, who won at Bendigo and Warrnambool before finishing fifth in a tough race at Flemington.

The seven-year-old is easily good enough to beat this field, and with a win and a placing from two starts over 3200m, that bodes well.

Carrying 54kg is another positive, so expect a tidy effort.

Race 7. (15:50) Samson BM70 (1200m)

#12 – La Fracas @ $12.00

La Fracas is unbeaten from two fresh up starts, so he could hit the ground running over 1200m on Sunday.

The four-year-old son of Night of Thunder won fresh up at Kilmore last prep before placing at Flemington behind One Long Day, which is a good form guide.

#13 – Willmott @ $12.00

The four-year-old son of Pierro owns four wins from 10 starts overall, and he gets all favours from barrier three with Declan Bates in the saddle.
