Looking to improve on a moderate fresh up effort for sixth is Sweetest Memories, who showed better pace when placing on debut at Yarra Valley.

The Chris Waller-trained mare is in good hands, and she has plenty of improvement to come this season.

She is bred to show early form, and after having four runs during her first prep, she has fitness on her side now.

The Moody/Nolen combination could link up for a win.

Looking to remain unbeaten is Humza Rey, who won his first two races in New Zealand on heavy tracks.

The OTI Racing runner won at Hawera and Wanganui, with his most recent win coming by a length, and he has been prepared with a trial win at Sandown.

That trial win came over Redders, who won last week.

The four-year-old mare by Swear wasn’t close to winning, but she made good enough ground to warrant attention at this level.

#1 – Bring Forth

Bring Forth is the best horse in the race after posting two wins and eight placings from 17 starts, so he should be tough to beat.

The four-year-old son of Turn Me Loose has been primed with a trial win at Sandown, and we expect the money to come for him.

Olivia East takes a handy 3kg off his back to help with the top weight.

Race 7. (16.20) Ladbrokes Sale Quality BM78 (1200m)

#6 – Gold Medallist

It’s tough to discount an unbeaten runner, and Gold Medallist couldn’t have been more impressive last prep when winning four on the bounce.

The four-year-old mare by Pierata is being taken through the grades, which is a smart decision, and she could keep making the step up.

She drops to 55kg, which brings her into contention.

#3 – Don’t Russia

Punters should expect improvement from Don’t Russia, who wasn’t far away when fourth at Pakenham fresh up.

The four-year-old mare by Russian Revolution loves running at Sale with six starts for two wins and two placings, so the form checks out.
