Randwick Guineas Form Guide & Tips
(1) Autumn Boy (Best Bet – $3.00)
His run in the Hobartville was an excellent form guide for the Randwick Guineas, and we love the way he found the line.
We believe he is the strongest runner in the field, which is needed to win this race, and that’s why we’re putting him above Sheza Alibi, who is only a smaller type.
Look for McDonald to stalk to pace and let him rip in the straight.
(2) Attica (Best Roughie – $10.00)
He is another runner coming off a big effort for fourth in the Hobartville. His closing sectionals were impressive, and he was always going to need the run.
There is a case that he might be 400m short of his best at 1600m, but we’re happy with the odds for a progressive colt.
(3) Ninja (Best Each Way – $6.00)
He won the Hobartville, and we can’t take that performance away from him. He’s a nice type, who knows how to win races, and that’s a good quality to have.
His odds have drifted after opening at $4.40, and we’re more than happy to take the odds available with bookmakers.
(4) Rivellino ($41.00)
His best form came during his two-year-old season, and he hasn’t been able to recapture that form. The odds are right on the money.
(5) Green Spaces ($46.00)
His form last prep included back-to-back wins, but we don’t see him as a Group 1 contender at this stage of his career.
(6) Providence ($46.00)
Resumed from a spell with a good win at Wyong, but this is a massive rise in class. Big odds, and he has been specked after opening at $71, but we’re not interested.
(7) Decorum ($10.00)
He could be a nice type in the making after posting three consecutive wins. He hasn’t come through overly tough races, but we love the way he has been finding the line.
As the odds suggest, he’s a winning hope, and we’re including him in our Randwick Guineas bets.
(8) Dusty Bay ($151.00)
He showed good form early on, but he’s not the same animal now. He’s looking for something much easier.
(9) Sheza Alibi ($2.45)
A lovely filly. She is a dynamic type, and our second pick to win the Randwick Guineas.
Our only worry is her smaller frame compared to the boys, and she could struggle to show her usual toughness. However, she’s the favourite for a reason, and a win wouldn’t surprise anyone.
Must be included in all picks.
