Crazy Mikki is getting close to posting a win after seven second placings from 12 starts, including last time out at Taree.
The four-year-old mare by Mikki Isle loves racing in wet track conditions and getting 1.5kg off her back adds to her appeal.
Look for each-way odds on race day.
Stake: 1.5 Units
Jason Dreamer lines up the three-year-old gelding who owns three placings from five starts, and he’s good enough to bounce back from a poor effort.
The son of Pierro is bred to be better than average and jumping from barrier three should make him tough to beat.
He has been primed with a recent trial, so include in picks.
Stake: 1 Unit
Viva La Juicy comes from the powerful Kris Lees stable, and punters should expect improvement following a fifth at Quirindi.
She made good late ground in that run over 1200m, so rising to 1512m looks ideal, and Lees should get the best out of her.
Barrier 15 isn’t ideal, but she has tim to find cover and sprint over the top of them.
Stake: 1.5 Units
Another runner looking for a touch of luck is Robarge, who owns five wins and 11 placings from 40 starts.
The seven-year-old mare by Highly Recommended owns two placings at Port Macquarie, and her best form comes on rain-affected tracks.
Andrew Gibbons rides, which could be enough to take her close.
Stake: 1 Unit
What a Rush hasn’t been the most consistent type to start her career, but she looked good when winning at Port Macquarie two back.
The two-year-old filly by Zousain didn’t fire last time out, but she might be better with a bit of cover behind the leaders.
Carrying 55kg is ideal, so include her in picks.
Stake: 1.5 Unit
Aged Care looks to run better than his fresh up effort at Scone, and he’s a past winner second-up, which bodes well.
The three-year-old son of Brutal owns a win and three placings from six starts, and it’s only the big weight of 60.5kg stopping him.
Despite the weight, we’re putting him on top.
Stake: 1.5 Units
Looking to go one better than her last start placing is All Too Rosey, who handled the heavy track well enough at Taree.
The five-year-old mare by All Too Hard has yet to fire in three runs at Port, but she should enjoy dropping to 54kg on Sunday.
She’s good enough to handle this field and pay nice odds.
Stake: 1 Unit
Cenotes showed his ability when scoring three consecutive wins last preparation, and he owns two placings at Port Macquarie.
The Colt Prosser-trained gelding is a six-time winner overall, so he has class on his side, and he’s our top pick in the feature race.
Anything around $4 would be a good price.
Stake: 2 Units
Time for Victory scored nicely two back at Taree in heavy conditions, and he does his best racing on this track with eight starts for two wins and four placings.
He’s an eight-time winner from 52 starts overall, so he has the experience edge, and we wouldn’t bet against him in this field.
Include him in picks at each-way odds.
Stake: 2 Units
