The four-year-old son of Palentino opened at $4.20 before shortening throughout the week, and that could be a smart betting move.

If he gets luck from a wide draw, he should be right in the finish.

He won at Ballarat two starts back before finishing fourth last time out at Geelong in heavy conditions, and he should prefer conditions on Friday night.

The four-year-old mare by Belardo won at Sandown before placing behind From a Distance at Flemington, and having experience in town helps.

We expect her to make a good resumption.

We’re taking the value odds for Smart Little Miss, who improved to run third at Caulfield last time out.

Having a placing at Caulfield is good form for racing at Pakenham, and she typically shows her best form after a couple of runs.

She is good enough to beat this field at nice odds.

#2 – Supernima @ $7.00

Supernima has yet to finish worse than second in four attempts at Pakenham, including two wins.
