The five-year-old mare ran a solid fifth at Mornington in good conditions, and the easing of the surface could be right up her alley.

Healing Frequency has looked good enough at the jumpouts to handle this field, and getting the inside draw always helps the youngster.

The three-year-old filly by Impending should show enough early speed to hold the front from the draw, and she is bred for speed.

She’s in the hands of Waller, so that gives us confidence.

Race 3. (19:15) Ladbrokes Pakenham Cup Dec 13 Maiden (1400m)

#6 – Forceofone @ $2.60

Money has come for Forceofone, who showed much better speed when running third at Sale fresh up.

The three-year-old son of Super Seth didn’t handle the level of opposition on debut at Sandown, which was a tough race, and the form has since stacked up.

This is easier, and the conditions shouldn’t worry him.

Race 4. (19:45) Ray White Pakenham & Officer Maiden (2000m)

#6 – Vltava @ $9.50

Value odds are with Vltava, who is going through his gears after three solid race day starts.

The three-year-old son of Prague wasn’t far away when fourth at Wangaratta last time out, and the race fitness holds him in good stead.

#5 – Callawadda @ $11.00

We will take double-figure odds for Callawadda, who scored back-to-back wins at Ballarat and Bendigo earlier this preparation.

The five-year-old son of Fiorente hasn’t been too far away since, including a third at Bendigo last start, and he should handle heavy conditions better than most.

The three-year-old son of Harry Angel ended last prep with only moderate efforts, but he was on tired legs, and his best form comes early.

He’s a value each-way hope at the current odds.

#3 – Delicate Lady @ $3.90

Gunning for back-to-back wins is Delicate Lady, who enjoyed the heavy conditions at Kilmore last time out.

The four-year-old mare by Inference scored by a length as a $2.10 chance, so punters get better odds this time around.

It’s an even field, and she should go close.
