gobet pakenham horse racing tips

We have expert betting tips for racing at Pakenham on Thursday, which includes eight races on the midweek card.

Punters get good value odds for the Victorian meeting, and we have betting tips for every race on the card.

Pakenham racing tips

Race 1. (17:15) Ladbrokes Big Bets Maiden (1600m)

#1 – Peeaitchdee @ $2.70

Peeaitchdee had his chance to win last time out, but it was another good run, and we’re giving him one more chance.

The four-year-old son of So You Think owns seven placings from eight starts, and he’ll only improve with racing under his belt this prep.

$2.70 is the shortest price we’d be prepared to take, so watch the market.

Stake: 1.5 Units

Race 2. (17:45) Beraldo Coffee Maiden (1400m)

#9 – On the Loose @ $4.60

On the Loose wasn’t far away on debut when running third at Pakenham, and track experience only helps his chances.

The three-year-old son of Turn Me Loose showed good barrier speed to land on the pace, which is a good asset to have.

Punters get each-way odds, which are worth snapping up.

Stake: 1 Unit

Race 3. (18:15) Summerset Retirement Village Maiden (1100m)

#3 – Circus Circus @ $4.20

Circus Circus should be stronger after running fourth twice during her first preparation for Graeme Begg.

The three-year-old filly by Pierro raced at Bendigo and Geelong, and it was a tricky maiden field last time out, so this should be easier.

Barrier two is ideal, and she should give punters a good sight.

Stake: 1 Unit

Race 4. (18:45) Computer Talk Business It Experts BM70 (1000m)

#5 – Caffettiera @ $4.20

Caffettiera showed good form during her first preparation, including a win at Mornington and placings at Geelong and Cranbourne.

Her only poor effort came at Caulfield when running eighth at Group 3 level behind Motorsports, so the form checks out at midweek level.

The inside draw is ideal, so include her in picks.

Stake: 1.5 Units

Race 5. (19:15) The Big Screen Company BM62 (2500m)

#7 – Diggers Aim @ $6.00

Diggers Aim won well at Pakenham two starts ago, and something close to that performance should be good enough.

The four-year-old son of Odyssey Moon owns a win and two placings from four starts at Pakenham, so the form is ideal.

Having a strong rider in Jamie Mott riding helps, so take the value odds.

Stake: 1 Unit

Race 6. (19:45) Duffy & Simon Lawyers C1 (1400m)

#6 – Grand Omaha @ $5.00

Grand Omaha showed good pace to start her career, including a win at Kilmore and a placing at Bendigo.

Her most recent effort at Caulfield wasn’t flash, but it came behind Spicy Lu and Just a Journey, and she wasn’t up to that elite level.

This is a massive drop in class, and it could pay dividends.

Stake: 2 Units

Race 7. (20:15) Hygain Edge BM62 (1400m)

#3 – Stay Silent @ $5.00

Punters get each-way odds for Stay Silent, who won well at Sale two starts back before grinding away at Pakenham for fifth last start.

The four-year-old son of Deep Field has yet to fire in two runs at the track, but he’s a tough customer, and he could find the front and kick strongly.

62.5kg isn’t an easy weight to carry, but class takes him close.

Stake: 1 Unit

Race 8. (20:45) Cameron Industrial Commercial BM62 (1600m)

#4 – Helping Hands @ $6.00

Helping Hands got off the mark with a good debut win at Stony Creek, scoring by a length as a $2.05 favourite.

Punters get better odds this time around, and the four-year-old son of Tarzino is bred to relish the distance and time under his belt.

He’s drifting after opening at $4.40, but we’re not concerned.

Stake: 1 Unit
