Deccan Odyssey was scratched from a harder race last week, and it could have been a good decision.

The three-year-old son of Alabama Express meets an even maiden field on Monday, and he could take advantage.

It shouldn’t take him long to win a race, so stick with him.

#2 – Brother Quickie @ $6.00

Value is with Brother Quickie, who showed little during his first preparation before improving to run third fresh up at Werribee.

The three-year-old son of Shamus Award was only 1.6 lengths behind the winner as a $10 chance, so it’s good to see betting support for him.

It’s an even field, so include him in picks.

#2 – Super Solar @ $4.60

Super Solar doesn’t know how to run a bad race, especially on synthetic tracks with 15 starts for a win and eight placings.

The seven-year-old son of Makfi is also a six-time winner over the distance, so the stats and experience bode well in this race.

The five-year-old son of Savabeel has yet to finish worse than third in five attempts at the track, and we think he has more potential than most in this field.

He only needs a touch of luck from the wide draw to win.
