The four-year-old ran a nose behind the winner at Kembla Grange, and that came in unsuitable heavy conditions.

Getting $3.90 is a generous price from bookmakers.

Race 3. (13:55) NZB Weanlings Maiden (1500m)

#6 – Blue Willow @ $3.00

Blue Willow has been right around the mark with two placings, and it’s hard not to back a James Cummings-trained runner at these meetings.

Those runs came at Newcastle, so she has experience at the track, and it’s only a matter of time before she wins a race.

Zac Lloyd rides and we thought she would be the favourite.
