The three-year-old filly by Unite and Conquer has form in soft ground, which is an asset, and that makes her the worthy favourite.

She should be breaking maidens very good.

#2 – Aged Care @ $3.10

Aged Care was too good for them at Port Macquarie last time out and another win could be on the cards.

The three-year-old son of Brutal is in good hands with Kris Lees, and with two wins and three placings from seven starts, he’s building a nice record.

60.5kg is tough to carry, but he has upside.

Race 3. (13:20) The Adviser Collective Maiden (1350m)

#7 – Outta Line @ $4.40

Outta Line hasn’t been too far away from them at the trials, including a placing at Randwick.

Having that trial placing under her belt is good, and being by Pierro is an advantage to most runners in this maiden field.

The each-way odds are worth including in picks as they could firm.

Race 4. (13:55) Dailey Family Funerals Maiden (1150m)

#4 – From the Peak @ $2.40

Looking to go one better than her debut is From the Peak, who ran second at Newcastle before spelling.

The three-year-old filly by Alabama Express has since had two trials for one win at Randwick, and that’s another strong trial guide.

She’s in good hands, and she should beat this field.

Race 5. (14:45) Horsepower Feeds & Supplements C1 (2100m)

#2 – Lennox @ $3.00

We expect money to come for Lennox, who hasn’t been far away in stronger fields this season.

The four-year-old has yet to win since arriving in Australia from Europe, but he went close two back at Gosford.

He should enjoy racing against this class, so include him at $3.

Race 6. (15:10) A-Plus Contracting BM58 (1150m)

#4 – Dubai Gold @ $3.40

Dubai Gold won well at Tamworth last preparation before spelling and coming back with a third placing at Scone.

That run should have opened the pipes nicely for this race, and the three-year-old will be fit and ready to fire.

Money is coming for the favourite, so take the $3.40 odds.

#2 – Magical Elegance @ $4.50

Magical Elegance ended last prep with a win at Beaumont, and although only fair when resuming, she could bounce back.

The four-year-old mare by Good Magic might have had a problem because the run was too bad to be true, but getting back to Newcastle should help.

She won her only start here, and she’s worth including in picks.

Gunning for back-to-back wins is Ostracised, who was too good for them at Coffs Harbour.

The six-year-old son of Divine Prophet runs his best races over the distance with a win and a placing, so that’s another positive.

Getting $5.50 is ideal, so include him as a value pick.
