We have expert betting tips for the New Zealand racing cards this Saturday at Ellerslie and Wanganui.
There is always great value at the NZ horse racing meetings, and we have our best bets across the two cards.
Ellerslie racing tips

Looking to score a debut win is Dashing Dixie, who gets all favours off the inside draw on Saturday.
The two-year-old filly by Alabama Express showed good speed to place in a recent trial, which is solid enough form.
Craig Grylls rides, which is another positive.
Stake: 1.5 Units
We love the way Boxmoss found the line to win at Ellerslie on November 4, and that came against a strong field.
It was his third win of the season, and although rising in weight isn’t ideal, he’s strong enough to handle this level of opposition.
Having a strong rider in Warren Kennedy in the saddle is a bonus.
Stake: 1 Unit
Looking to cap off back-to-back placings with a win is Navy Ensign, who placed in both races at Ellerslie.
The form has stacked up well enough to be considered in this race, and he only needs a touch of luck from a wide barrier.
Include the $2.40 odds in horse racing multis.
Stake: 2 Units
Frostfair is much better than her form suggests, and she wasn’t far away when fourth last time out at Tauranga behind Glamour Tycoon.
The five-year-old mare by Written Tycoon is a two-time winner at Ellerslie, so having form on the track is ideal.
Take the each-way odds from bookmakers.
Stake: 1.5 Units

Wanganui racing tips

Money has come for La Prima Dama, who wasn’t too far away when sixth at Ellerslie, and this is a much easier field.
The four-year-old mare by Justify gets some weight relief with 1kg coming off her back, and that should be enough to see her win.
Look for a better move on race day.
Stake: 1 Unit
Punters get each-way odds for Croix De Guerre, who owns three second placings from six career starts.
The four-year-old son of War Decree placed at Waverley and Woodville, and he wasn’t all that far away last time out.
He handles soft tracks, so include him in picks.
Stake: 1 Unit
Money has come for Plain Sailing, who owns two placings from three starts, which is a tidy enough record.
The four-year-old son of Ocean Park will need a touch of luck from a wide barrier, but that’s the only negative.
It won’t take him long to exit maidens, so include him as an each-way pick.
Stake: 1.5 Units
Looking to remain unbeaten is Rippanall, who handled heavy conditions on debut to win at Waverley.
The four-year-old won by just under a length as a $2.20 chance before spelling, and he could come back even stronger.
It’s a harder field, but he has enough upside to win.
Stake: 1.5 Units
